OMG i hope no one starting painting follows this. .. so many things wrong, not only with the colours but the technique.. and how can you do a painting video with that brush !!.. this is the worse video on youtube . I would hate to think new painters follow this... it's complete rubbish .. sorry you probably meant well, but it is horrifying to watch......

you DEFINATELY NEEDED to do another layer or 2 of the contrast esp the unniform and the helmet, also mix some brown contrast into the green contrast you used to oaint the helm, what you have now is WAAAAAYYY too bright and wayyy too green,would also dry brush on some metallics for the weapons, and a light bone white for a more punchy highlight for the whole model

looking good, one extra tip is thin it with flow aid, seriously what a difference, youll find it so much easier

honestly this wouldve been 10x faster and easier if you just painted the damn things in regular mini paints, much easier to find the specific colors you need and much easie to paint and layer

you lost me at mixing contrast paints. That's a pain in the ass since they unmix rather quickly and two batches will never have the same consitency.

I have a qustion am painting lot of napolonica from 1/72 scale my question is is 28 milimeter figures also possible to add to the 1/72 ones? Or is thier difrence in hight ?

Great job. I just started a guard army and bought some Catachan infantry because they were cheaper. I’m glad contrasts look so good on them.

Next spring I hope my Germans will be done. I think I can rival your points. But only with NWE(building armies and terrain for France/Benelux/Germany DDay to Berlin) so just Late war boys… 😅 haven‘t started with early war.

Great topic idea! …don’t ever use those paints on minis though Ken, not all Acrylic paints are the same, cheap or artists acrylic are liable to suffer from coverage and wearing issues. The paints we use for miniatures are formulated to work the way we need them to on minis.
