One can also use this knot to tie leader to braid. Goes right through the guides. Loop the braid, go through the loop with braid tag and leader 5x,moisten and pull. 😊

Great fish and video! What speed are you trolling at using those flasher rigs? I see you pull all other lines, do you stay at speed or go to neutral?

There is a reason there are no boats 😂😂😂 - you need to pay for boat launch, reservation fishing license, and reservation use pass 😂😂😂 for what, trout????😂😂😂😂 I can catch trout with my WA license in other places.

In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzbin.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Thank you for the video. I discovered this method by accident a few years when my pre-knotted stop knots would no longer stay in place. At first, instead of having to start over again, I would simply take one of the pre-knotted stop knots and remove the string from the tube and tie it directly on the line. I did that until I discovered using braided fly line for my stop knots.

Went on Sunday, 9 for 20. 12 would have been our boat limit. Many fisherman saying the bite is tough this year! Great place to fish lots of boats but there is a vast amount of water to keep it from feeling crowded!

I started using this technique and it’s the only way I’ll fish with a bobber now. My biggest issue is the fishing pole top eye the small one catches it and the moves it. I try to just angle my pole down. Thanks for the video

I’ve had trouble with the pre-made stops going through my bead and rendering the whole rig ineffective. I wonder if the fly-line would prevent that. Maybe go up a bit in line size?

It would have been nice to see a detailed shot close up. Does the stick that goes along the spine penetrate the skin multiple times? How do the horizontal sticks penetrate the skin? What about deboning techniques?

Been fishing that lake for 40, years. Scott plants the triploids and a lot of them survive the crowds during peak season and get fairly big. I'd say the trout fishing is better than most lakes in Washington, which is woefully inefficient in their fishery policy. If the trout aren't biting, the perch will. Sort of a fall back position if you have kids. BY the way, you don't need a boat, but you can rent one pretty cheap. The dock fishing has produced some very nice catches. I avoid high summer, when the lake is fouled by growth.
