Will "Limit input to 1080p" in the main settings also affect the accuracy of the Gamut check or is it strictly the "Input Frame Scale" in the Input settings of the Source Signal? Maybe you can also enlighten me about a couple of other little details that I couldn't quite wrap my head around yet: The "Use high precision calculation" option will always trigger my blanking QC which I don't quite understand. Is that supposed to happen or a bug? Also having exactly 1px of black on an edge does trigger the blanking warning, but does not show me the red overlay of the affected area. Does the "HFR" in the GPU Cache options stand for high frame rate? What exactly does that mean and wouldn't it be better to have explicit options like 30, 60, and so on? How exactly does "Trace based Peak Levels" in the Waveform settings work and more importantly, what is the default behavior if the option is not checked? I think it would be very nice if more options had a little description on mouse over. Lastly some minor improvement suggestions: It would be nice if Omniscope remembered if it was in full screen mode when a user layout is saved. Upon relaunching it it will open with maxed out window size but not in true full screen. Would be also nice if it'd remember the fold out state of the Blanking Detection Settings when it's panel is docked in a layout. By default it's always expanded when relaunched. A last wish would be to have the option to enable little markers indicating the middle of Title/Action Safe and an option to either scale down the Crosshair or to have only a small one in the image center. Looking forward to hearing back from you, all the best!

Thanks for the feedback! Gamut check is calculated on the full resolution image always (before scaling to 1080p). Regarding "High Precision Calculation" - are you on macOS or Windows? We would need to troubleshoot it a bit more, in general the behaviour should be the same. 1px of blanking - perhaps the viewer scaling make the red overlay disappear? (scaled down is less than 1px) HFR is indeed high frame rate - it means that OmniScope uses more GPU memory to handle higher frame rates better (sources with 60fps and similar) - it's not directly linked with a specific frame rate. Trace based Peak Levels means that the peak levels are calculated based on the trace "shape", not the signal real values. So if you apply high amount of low-pass filter, the trace shape will get flattened. Peak levels will show the "trace shape" extends even though the signal range is much wider. The fullscreen state should be restored to the state before closing the app - if this doesn't happen, the something is wrong. Also, blanking detection settings should remain docked after restart - are you sure you saved changes in the layout after docking it?

How stupid of me to not search for plugin for Lightroom. I've been along time user of Premiere pro and is always baffled why lightroom doesn't have luma, waveform and vectorscope for color grading, Glad I've seen this, it'll definitely up my game. Good work man.

Thank you timeinpixels and Daria for putting up this updated and refresh/comprehensive series. Always something to learn. wanted to ask if possible to do an updated video on all the tweaks and levers that can be pulled to reduce system usage. I have an nvidia 1080ti and intel core i9 and always wondered what is the best combo balance in the settings to get few more frame rates out of the system. It would be great to get an explanation of the many settings that impact performance and better explanation. Thank you for the program. its amazing!!

However, I haven't managed to understand how the color picker works : sometimes, the values of the color picker freeze while my cursor travels through different points of the video source.
