Regicide is just played with a normal deck of cards essentially that's why the cards don't have much on them. But it is a lot of fun! I wish the price was just slightly lower after shipping here. Hopefully it will be available in retail!

Worthington has been 90% a wargame / historical game company (now branching out into more boardgames with their new imprint Pungo Games). Of their 55 Kickstarters, only 5 have not funded or were cancelled. Of those that funded, 100% have delivered so far. You have to realize those past ones you were looking at with comments were caught up in repercussions of the Global Shipping Crisis, as was virtually every Kickstarter at the time. As for rankings on BGG, Wargames are notoriously low ranked compared to mass market board games. Print runs are typically rather small for the vast majority of wargame titles, and the prices of the games will be more expensive on average. Wargames very often not Kickstartered at all. Many wargame publishers utilize a "pre-order" system, waiting for a particular threshold of orders before they move farther along in the production process. GMT has their P500 system. Legion Wargames has their CPO (Customer Pre-Order) system. etc. Worthington is one of the few that regularly do upfront Kickstarters (while Compass Games does *after* production, marketing Kickstarters). Yes, Worthington could definitely improve how they do Kickstarters. Don't blame the designer of the particular game you were looking at ... Maurice Suckling has nothing to do with how the Kickstarter is put together. Worthington is a family business, run by Grant, Mark & Mike Wylie which publish many of their own designs, but also designs of others, such as from Maurice Suckling, Michael Rinella, Richard H Berg, etc ... respected game designers in the wargame sphere.

I don’t like AI images but I when loud social media “influencers” attempt a public shaming campaign, it does not help. The main issue is that low-to-medium quality game art (in generic styles) simply don’t have value anymore. Forcing creators to pay for generic art from real people (versus make generic images from computers that steal from real people) fixes nothing about the larger issue. Just like how when Napster and Bit Torrent reduced the value of digital music, the snowball had already begun to roll. Now, should we continue making games, music, and films, or should we just replace our species with computers that make mindless copies of copies of art? Or is it time for the butlerian jihad?

This is finally coming tomorrow and I can't wait. I've been watching a lot of videos this week in preparation and love your enthusiasm for the game! Can't wait to get this to the table. I'm also extremely impressed with the designers interaction with the game community on BGG. The Descendants expansion is sold out sadly, but when I asked about when it might be available again in Canada, they responded right away. The enormous amount of posts and discussions involving the designers truly impressed me. Can't wait to dive in :)

Hello. First, I have to say I always like your channel, and it's a definite go-to for if I need straightforward information on a game I want to buy or back. I do have a question regarding Fallen Land 2nd Edition. When you were mentioning Fallen Lands Decendants expansion, you mentioned it was included in the base game of the 2nd edition. When I was looking to buy the 2nd edition online, all it mentions is that the 2nd edition includes Fallen Land: A Journey into Darkness and Fallen Land: Outriders Trading Post. Am I misunderstanding something, or did they rename something, because even if I go to their website, they say Decendants is out of stock.
