YES! VIDEOS (particularly you not doing it). It's one of the first things I look for. I have literally not backed games because they don't have any video (even no preview video let along gameplay video). It tells me you actually made something with a manufacturer. You have shipped it to people [youtube creators]. I get to see the components from someone and they talk about your game or they play a game. Especially if you're indie and you don't have any experience in producing a game (it also a benefit to you). Suck it up, save money, get another job, and make the prototypes. It makes you look professional and have a real tangible product and put some skin (money) in the game. I want it to be from others that are not you. I'm not going to listen to you. I don't really look at rulebook videos. I tend not to like trailers. I look at a picture with all the info and try to find the basic info I need. Then I see if you got videos from others to watch. Because one, I won't believe you about your game (conflict of interest). You are going to probably suck at making a video and conveying information (I've seen devs make video and they don't really look great. first impression matters). It's worth it to send to others. Bigger channels may not cover you if you're small, but someone is (and you should know the KS youtuber scene and reach out to them in advance before your launch).
