It's been a lot of fun messing around with Tamao and seeing her damage potential reach the rest of the cast makes me very happy. EX mode is for both speed and power but to get it you need to hit a combo key while you are done selecting your character

What An underrated Fighting game series but also a Masterpiece Samurai shodown is a good series but I like The Last Blade series more because It looks more refined by the pixel artstyle graphics and the gameplay looks really fun and enjoyable

How did i miss this? lol I don't think another game is likely to happen but if it did SNK games would have to be doing very well financially. The game would have to be a reboot sikce the last game came out over 20 years ago which im fine with cause some things need to be changed imo.

Even though Samurai Showdown's more iconic, I believe that LB2's more fun to play.

When i try the game for the first times i pick Yuki cuz i liked his design, and i learn how to play the character, then i play online and i lost every single match, looking for bnb's i read in the supercombo wiki that she's actually the lowest lower tier in the game, that break my heart, now i'm Shigen main :)

I've started playing Last Blade 2 a few days ago. Fell in love with Power Hibiki's playstyle. I still suck at it I got in a loosing streak kinda like this today against a Zantetsu player today... But this might teach me one thing or two! XD

To continue the story we could get The Last Blade 3 Third Slash: Duel for the Future. Prior characters still exist for legacy fans and said characters could still have their own story expanded if need be, but we would also get a new story that SNK can make a game around. Kinda like what SNK does for KoF, or what Capcom tries(and failes) to do for SF. Of course, for that to be the case, a new big bad would have to be retconned into the verse's lore, but I'd be fine with that.

My opinion is that if Fatal Fury: City of Wolves does relatively well financially, SNK is likely to continue to explore its back catalog. Assuming they'd look to release another fighting game, I think the logical next choice would be new installment in the Last Blade series. In terms of the series maintaining a logically consistent story, I don't think a significant percentage of the target audience cares. Even if they did, remember this is series that recycled Shikyoh (Mukuro) and Kojiroh (granted he didn't exist as a playable character) from the first two games, and demoted Kagami to a playable character. What's important to SNK is the game's commercial performance and the impact to its reputation. What's important to the developers is being paid well and making a good/popular game. What's important to the overwhelming majority of potential players is compelling gameplay and strong character design. If a new LB title does happen, I believe what will ultimately determine the type of game that gets made is what SNK and the developers feel is the safest bet from a profitability/risk standpoint. Does anyone seriously think MvC4 would flop simply because the devs violated Marvel/Capcom canon?

I think LB would work wonderfully as an action RPG with a focus on the story, even better than Samsho, which is the title that SNK plans to make a game like that. Maybe if the Samsho game works LB can be next, but as a fighting game it will depend on how the market is years from now, cause if we ever get one it will take a while. I would love a new one tho, be it a remake or a continuation, I just love these characters.

Is there room for a prequel? It's pretty much what Samurai Shodown has been doing since the second game because Nakoruru dies.

The potential of hibiki, as a protagonist, is in the fact that you can choose what personality she will have, so there will be many doors as well as multiple endings depending on what you do.

I would much prefer a Last Blade over a new SamSho after CotW. Either before or after SNK vs Capcom 2. LB RPG sounds very interesting though.
