Is the cursor positioning broken on the game by default? When I move the cursor, at random parts of the screen it just jumps to another position erratically. Happens with both mouse and gamepad.

Has anyone found a way to fix the audio issues in this game? Im getting sounds that repeat and never end, the loss of the shooting sound mid game, always something. I cant find any patch fix or way to resolve

The Sega Saturn version is still the best one. Try it on a big CRT TV connected via Component/RGB cables and see how sharp and colorful it looks.

This does not work anymore.

A big plus for the PC version is everything loads much faster. Just going into the character menu there is a delay on the PS1 and Saturn versions. Also the Saturn trying to fake transparency effects looks very cheesy and dated. I would call the PC the most playable version and widescreen does help because you see much more all around you.

Can I use the mouse in this game?

Honestly I don't think that this is a Star Wars game. Perhaps it started as one and Sega wanted to make one but had issues of securing the license, or their pitch was rejected so the models had been reworked so that LucasFilm would not sue them if this would have been released under the name "Spike". Or maybe they did not had the license at this point and this was a tech demo which they wanted to present to LucasArts. I dont know and Im speculating here but the models of the mechs or the speeder don't feel "Star Warsy" at all. And the so called Stormtroopers? Well they look kinda similiar but then again there are where many Stormtrooper-ish enemies in non-SW games.

What bugs me the most are the mirrored sprites of the hd remaster. They are the same as in the ps1. That is the only reason for me to play on saturn emulator.

i downloaded this but only the sounds play but no music and both volumes are turned WAAY up. am i doing something wrong? do i need to download a special sound card to have both working?

"D" was a very interesting game. It had a very different feel than other point & click games. Actually the game doesn't even have a pointer. I spent countless hours exploring Bran Castle to uncover every secret "D" had to offer. There are quite a few that you can't discover in one play through. Just trying to find all 9 beetle locations alone could take 10 to 20 tries or more. Kenji Eno was way ahead of his time. Hopefully one day his games will be remastered & physically re-released in a collection for modern consoles. Nice review/discussion.

Thank you for posting this. I wish SEGA would rerelease this game. It isn't like the orionial, as I loved the challenging spraypaint controller combos from the Dreamcast version, but it is a great game nonetheless. PS, I like your channel and subscribed.
