Time to give Virtua Fighter a makeover!
We choose one version for every numbered entry in the VF series (sorry, Remix, you're not a number), pick a specific emulator and make it shine in glorious HD and widescreen.

Should have kept original aspect ratios, VF1-4 were all built for 4:3 (lone exception is VF1 which the 32X version had 16:9 and possibly the arcade version as well, I know Virtua Racing in the arcade had a 16:9 mode). I've owned at one point or another a VF2 cab, two VF3 cabs and a Naomi 2 with netboot so all three version of VF4 were playable on my Blast, been looking for a Lindbergh multi though to play VF5 and it's updates. But it is good to see this series getting some love for once, cool video.

I think the virtua fighter 10th anniversary port could have also worked. I know I know it's not the same game engine but still looks and plays just like the arcade port but there is a widescreen and de-interlace pnach for pcsx2. The saturn port just looked and played like it was toned down alot.

Cool idea for a video, it's a shame there still isn't an emulator that runs the Model 1 version of VF1 correctly, I think you should've emulated the Model 3 version of VF3tb with Supermodel the Dreamcast version screwed up the graphics and sound quality, i also think it would've been better if you emulated the Naomi2 version of a VF4 game on Demul since those also look better than the home ports sadly Demul doesn't supports cards so no items.

The Saturn Junkyard Someone got VF4FT running on Widescreen with Demul but only with the og res: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5TNgWmYrbWdpdU Also VF4Evo looks blurry on your video because of the PS2's Interlacing there are hacks which go in the cheats folder as a .pnach file to disable that here's a hack which removes interlacing and adds widescreen: www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/92x56t/ps2_disabled_interlacing_cheats/ (It only works for the Japanese version) Just make a file named "AB01411F.pnach" then copy and paste all that red text inside that file with a text editor like notepad and save, then just put it in the cheats folder and turn on cheats and widescreen. (You need a recent version of PCSX2 for this to work) If you don't have it you can find one here: buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/ Also you were using Bilinear (Forced) Texture Filtering on PCSX2 which not only screws up the Health bar but it also makes the image more blurry, you should've used Bilinear (PS2) Here's how the game looks with its original res but with interlacing removed, i didn't copy the widescreen part of the hack because my monitor is 5:4: cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/289038968861753345/607312496256221193/unknown.png It would be cool to see a video with these hacks and settings on a high resolution.
