Your videography was stunning but I had to laugh when you were fighting the tuckamore and flies. I know what you went through as I grew up with them. It's a tough go, especially that time of year with how wet it was. Congrats on completing it though. It's not for the faint of heart or feet!

@ It was so worth it. One of the hardest physical things I had to do in my life… it was our first thru-hike. Yup from 0 to 100 for me! 🤣 Borrowed some gear from my son and baught the rest. It took us a day longer than we planned for due a rough first day climb that I got over heated and ill. We camped at the top that night. Day 2 we got the tail end of Hurricane / Tropical Storm Debby, which brought down 100ml of rain and rushing river crossings instead of little streams. Several crazy scary moments. We had a beautiful day 3 and 4, saw Caribou …. Started Day 5 with a thigh-deep water crossing which turned out to coldest day of all, ending down into Ferry Gulch. My hiking partner froze that night. I was lucky and had a great sleeping bag. DAY 6 we climbed Gros Morne and back, packed up and made it out by 4pm and on the ferry back that night. We’ve discussed over and over what would do/pack differently next time. I feel super proud and empowered by what I’ve accomplished. We are no spring chicken’s anymore 😜 We recently discussed doing it again next summer. So we are waiting to book for 2025. Hopefully I get our trip up on KZbin soon.

@@SethKHughes I was hoping to have it ready, or at least a rough draft to show family over Christmas since we only see each other 2 times a year. The last time my brother’s family saw me was a few days before I left for Newfoundland. I’m not a pro, and I’m still figuring all the details of my editing program…. HaHa! Soon I hope!

When I take videos on my fujifilm XT-1 and then upload them to my computer they come out so dark - do you have any tips for this? Sometimes it’s so dark you can’t even make out what was in the video at all

2023 and this video is still helpful. X-T1 lacks some of the modern video features but still packs a punch, with a good lens I feel like it almost gives a vintage vibe to the video. I much prefer the XT1 video to my cel phones . Thanks a lot for the video, I’m a hobbyist photographer with no plans to upgrade my XT1 as j think it’s perfect for my photo needs, and this definitely helped me get the most out of it for videos!

My dream is to visit Newfoundland and Labrador but I'm more interested in Labrador than Newfoundland lol. At least on Google Earth Labrador looks completely empty literally I was only able to find one road in the entire main land of the Province.

For years the guidance by airstream sages has to NOT attach a bike rack/receiver to the frame of the Airstream to avoid frame separation. The bike rack sold by Airstream doesn’t even attach to the frame. Your setup looks really beefy and should support the repetitive loading. But I’d really be interested (and so would those on AirForums) on how this works out.

Honestly side-by-side, I think it’s all a big con I literally bought the 1.5 5X thinking I was literally going to see a massive dramatic change my footage filmic pro lets you use the same settings with or without the lenses and you can still get the same look to me, I think it’s all a little bit of a con am not happy with my purchase and it will be going straight back
