You forgot the most important tip. Don't photograph in the winter. It's miserable. In fact, move to warmer climate so you never ever have to be cold. :) Awesome that you got early access to that x-h1 though. Do you plan on doing a review?

Ha! You’ve got a point there. That Zion video you did recently looked pretty chilly too! Not snowy but frosty. Working on an X-H1 first look video right now. Hoping to upload next week...

Yeah it wasn't that cold. I'm just a wuss ;) Looking forward to your review. One question I do have. How is it for hybrid shooting? One thing that drives me crazy about x-t2 is having to move three dials (shooting mode, shutter dial, and potentially aperture) every time I want to switch back and forth between video and stills. I was really hoping x-h1 would provide a way to store a video mode.

I am not so sure, it gets to 37 degs 85% humidity here in the summer, and carrying a camera backpack is uncomfortable, sweaty work. I bought Fujifilm solely because of summers.

I have the same gripe. Switching back and forth between stills/video is a pain. Curious if you know of a camera that does save your SS, Ftsop, ISO based on shooting mode? The X-H1 doesn't solve this entirely. I think it's an inherent compromise for using one camera to do both still and video. It does however give you the ability to save separate custom functions (WB, film sim, highlight, shadow, etc..) depending on your still/video mode which is a plus.

The GH5 does. I love using it for hybrid shooting.
