It was a great interview! My only complaint is that there are only 2 - wheelchair accessible on a n 8 night cruise So for our thirty year anniversary and he is going to end up going exploring and I will be stuck on ship all day alone it’s very disheartening. Oh well we will have a good time anyway and just have to research ports of call

Alex is working as hard as he can to find the accessible excursion, but in some places there are not any land based accessible companies they can work with.

@@Travelingwithachair would like to get that for my mother, but she will be sharing a room in long-term care and I don’t think the other person would want to hear it unless of course she is sharing a room with someone who is losing their hearing. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Mind you, not one use was of the realest world or how this “tracking actually occurs” this is blanket marketing 101. What does enhanced training for scooters or different motorized wheelchairs mean? Will airports be made to have specific equipment to prevent damages?

I called Royal and they told me that there was no proof needed... I did ask for wheelchair assistance... I hope that is sufficient.. they did not mention needing to fill out a form. This is our first use of an accessible cabin. On other Celebrity ships we have managed to use a regular cabin parking scooter tucked away in a public area... the step up in the bathroom is a challenge..but still manageable.

Whilst the Rocky Mountaineer is always an iconic trip, you do miss so much being confined to the train with the scenery rolling past. Do the same route by car, and you will see so much more, and be able to stop at numerous points that the train goes past without stopping.

So for a full time wheelchair user that can’t stand up like Cheryl, would they board the same way or would an aisle chair be used? And will that lift inside the train that took her to upper deck seating…how would a full time wheelchair user navigate that or would they be relegated to riding in the lower level cars? Does a full time wheelchair user have the ability to move about the train or must they stay in one place? How do they get to dining car?
@Travelingwithachair
@Travelingwithachair Ай бұрын
They would use an aisle chair. For full time wheelchair users, they would travel in one of the other cars I believe.

Ok you mentioned you cant pick up the body but you didn't have a isle chair could be a risk injury to the passenger and she can sue you for injuries you dont want anyone dragging themselves across the isle..what about crutches or canes devices helping them to walk down the isle or put them near the restroom there is a seat near to the restroom
