I'd estimate this as a mid-late 40's Type D, given the lower amperage rating (early ones were rated at 4.4, then 2.2, then down to 2 amps as motors improved), and the lack of a "dimple" on the back of the motor cover. It also appears to be missing a debris screen in the intake, but it wouldn't surprise me if they stopped having them installed at that point. Sounds like it runs really nice!

@@tdhmoose Thanks! This radio is strictly DMR, not P25. The TP9800 is the P25 model. From what I understand, Tait doesn’t support NAS sadly… but I cannot confirm that.

This is defiantely a good comparison between different makers of mini sirens. I personally think Edaan's are the best sounding and the most robust

@@MichanaAlerting All of them are good in my opinion. Edaan’s are great for being loud & robust. I like Snowcube’s a lot too since they still sound & look accurate but aren’t too small. Connor’s are just a lot of fun to play with & I do like the way they sound too.

I was gonna reach out on facebook, but the correct name of this type of siren is literally the "Model 2T". This one is based off of the one that Tyler Gordon owns, which is one of maybe 2 I've ever seen. Sterling Siren's original Dual Tone models are much, much rarer than the Sentry ones, which were exclusively dual tone unless specified when ordered. They lack that weird base with the hole in the bottom.
