Just want to say thanks for the video. Just what I needed as I dove into my wife's X1 with the B48 engine. Changed out the coolant hoses and replaced the oil filter housing with a full metal version. Hopefully the leaks go away.

My 2017 Passat had the exact same issue. I took my cluster to a cellphone repair shop. He watched your video and was able to use his microscope and do the repair with an enameled wire like you did. It resolved my issue. Thank you for posting this video!

Sir, or can anyone help me find the correct name for the plastic pipe/tube bolted with 2 bolts behind the pass side of the supercharger that runs towards the firewall and then it disappears. i smoke tested it and it is corrugated. thanks in advance.

after all, was it a smart charging system or not? do bmws only charge 13.8v? or does the voltage go up when you put consumers? because i see it charging 13.8v with the lights on

If it really works like you say. Why not show us these functions working in the car. Just showing stuff on a laptop can be done by anyone. Not a single video of this tool on KZbin programming anything.

That’s fair, there isn’t much on KZbin. But I’ve taken his class and Salah demonstrated all of this on a live 2022 Range Rover outside in the parking lot. The people who have invested in this don’t go around making KZbin videos about it

My customer have the starter issue. My friend tap the starter and the car started to get her home. Instead of bringing it to me she took it to the dealership. Well they told her the ECM was bad and mess the starter up. Charged her over 2k to do the the job, including new ECM. I was like WTF.

I'm here in Brooklyn New York with nothing but scam artist everybody telling me everything from I need a new engine to I need new heads when I'm sure such is not the case because I did a compression test myself and the compression was good on all except for one cylinder which was still okay but not preferable. Any good diagnostic mechanics you know and the New York / Long Island area?

I agree with 100% that this is the proper way of doing it. My experience has been that employers looked at me as if I was wasting time unnecessarily when following proper procedures.

“Parts Changers” get a bad rap, sometimes. For example: if I have a check-engine light and a code for a bad O2 sensor on a vehicle with 100k, I’m not going to waste time checking for power & grounds, etc. I going to just change the damn sensor.

What can I say, common sense. Alternator is not charging then replace it. Plain and simple. I just unplug the ground cable (black) from battery and car keep running then is not alternator, otherwise it is.

The scope is needed to verify how much the computer is telling the alternator regulator to switch on and off, plus the percentage of on vs off time. Scope for the win! Thank you for this video Mario!

you mention ground being same for starter and alternator which is correct BUT corrosion between alt housin and where it mounts could cause issues great video though thanks for the content
