Guys, advanced diagnostics has been in the locksmith world way longer than most tools. What I like with this tool is that if it says it does a certain model, it does do it. They won't release the function otherwise. I believe the lite version works with ilco keys only though, so you will need to stock up on ilco keys.

Full version all day. You would have to change all your stock which would amount to many thousands more than the lite version. Kind of weird they sent this out and even weirder they make this model. You are either paying for tokens or updates. They are taking your money one way or the other so you might as well get the full version and use whatever keys and fobs you want.

I find it odd that a tool company, who hopes to sell lots of these tools, would send you the ‘lite’ version instead of the full-featured version. If I were the marketing person for this tool company, the last thing I would want to see shown on the Super Mario Diagnostics channel is what the tool CANNOT do instead of what it CAN do. Outside of that little through, I hope this tool expands your capabilities, Mario.

Bet the im608 has better coverage. I just jumped the hoops for nastf. Wasn’t going to until next year but was like might as well just get it done

No it doesn't. We have 2 Smart Pro's a 608,508, KM100's, Smart Box and a few more. Smart Pro is the best one out there period. EDIT: Another poster was correct that this lite version only uses Ilco keys and FOBS. This would be a non starter for me. The full function Smart Pro is the best one out there. You don't have to buy tokens for this one but they charge for updates. I prefer OEM or OEM refurbs for the best reliability. If I have to go aftermarket Ilco is always my first choice but they are more expensive then the cheap UHS kaka. Charge customers accordingly and use quality keys and FOBS. Plenty of $100 Chuck in a truck out there using crap that breaks after a few months. We get these calls weekly and the customer can't get the original guy to come back out. We charge 3x more but we warranty our work and the reality is we never get comebacks. We run 80-150 calls per week. Just lockouts and lost keys. We don't even go out on dupes.

Does smart pro do parameter reset on newer fords??

@@philh9238 I don't believe so. The Smart Pro is for keys but they say it can some diag. We have never tried or used it for anything but keys. The 608 can do that as it is a full function scan tool with key making ability. If you need that go with the Autel. Just a warning an Autel can brick Honda BCM's if you don't know what you are doing when making a key.
