It’s worth it and it’s actually a step towards the turbo conversion ( Marco will also make a turbo kit) . It’s pretty expensive and I also don’t want to throw a rod( which shouldn’t happen if adjusted properly), thus I don’t know if I will take this step to be honest, the extra power would be sweet though. Even now you you shit yourself while accelerating, you barely touch the gas and it accelerates like hell .

if i may ask, why not put anaerobic sealant in the middle of the case bolt holes also before putting the case sides together?

Because it would mess up the bearing clearance if you mean the main bolts . I put sealant n the dome nuts etc which serves the same function:)

Im really sorry for the sound quality. We all start at some point and we steadily try to improve ourselves ( we never start perfectly ). Hello . I sadly only drove it for 500km until now and it consumed around 12l on a very hilley area . Under normal conditions ( normal roads and a broken in engine, as mine isn’t fully broken in yet, which slightly reduces the efficiency) it should consume around 9-10l in my opinion. My carburated DF consumed 16l/100 on the same island FYI so I see a considerable improvement. I will ask Marco Mansi about the fuel consumption under normal conditions as he may know more about it :) I will come back to you as soon as I get an answer

Ps I also run the mansispeed injectors , I would also suggest you to buy them if you get the efi as they mix the fuel better with the air , they will decrease your fuel consumption for sure .

Hey Günther, danke für deine tollen Videos. Was mir aktuell sehr helfen würde, wenn du die funtkion und Einstellungen im eingebauten zustand zeigen könntest. Bin mir nicht sicher, ob bei mir da so alles stimmt. Die meisten Solex 34 PICT 5 sehen anders aus. Ich habe den gleichen wie du. Besten Dank für deine Hilfe.

Hallo Florian :). Dies ist leider nicht möglich, weil der vergaser nicht mehr verbaut ist ( ich habe jetzt eine Einspritzanlage ). Grundsätzlich muss der vergaser in der Grundeinstellung sein. Danach dreht man die Schrauben wechselweise auf bis der Bus läuft . Danach dreht man die gemischschraube auf, bis man damit die höchstmögliche Drehzahl erreicht hat(hierfür wird ein Drehzahlmesser benötigt). Im Nachhinein dreht man diese ein Tik wieder rein , danach stellt man den Leerlauf mit der großen Schraube ein . Idealerweise stellt man das leerlaufgemisch mit einem abgastester ein , aber diese Methode geht auch :) ich habe damit die AU ohne Probleme bestanden ( 1,5 ist der sollwert , mein ist wert war 1,86 ) der Grenzwert war 3,5 . Damit dies klappt müssen folgende Voraussetzungen gegeben sein: -Die Drosselklappenwelle muss spiel frei sein ( öfters Verschleißen die gleitlager und dann zieht der fremd Luft ) -die DLS muss deaktiviert sein -der Motor muss in Betriebs Temperatur sein -der Kühler Lüfter(und andere elektrische Verbraucher) darf nicht laufen -der zünd Zeitpunkt muss stimmen -die Ventile müssen richtig eingestellt sein -Der vergaser Flansch muss intakt sein ( das Gummi reist öfters) -die Unterdruck Dose vom Verteiler muss intakt sein -der vergaser muss sich in einem einwandfreien Zustand befinden -der Motor muss sich in einem einwandfreien Zustand befinden Du kannst mir gerne Fotos vom vergaser auf insta schicken , damit ich dir weiterhelfe, falls du’s möchtest :). Da ist der DF auch eigen, da dieser auf 5° nach OT geblitzt wird usw. Ich würde gerne auf dein Angebot mit dem Vergaser zurück kommen. Lief dieser bei dir auch auf dem 1.9 WBX DF? Nach deiner Überholung war er ja wieder "wie neu". 😊

I believe that you can just order it on the German Amazon , shipping and taxes shouldn’t be that much . It’s called a torsion spring afaik but it’s a special type and I don’t know where you can find it in the USA . I would suggest you to make a amazon de account, they do also have an version on English) . I hope that I was helpful:)

thanks for your quick reply. wbx experts are very rare in France, that's why I'm directing my research to Germany. The closest I've located is Doctor Digifant in Gerstetten. I'm also continuing my research in France, lots of aircooled specialists. Do you think that with all the documentation, a good aircooled mechanic can do a good job on watercooled?

@@Reeck-rack it depends . If the aircooled mechanic is really good probably yes, the wbx is a little different and a small mistake can ruin the entire engine though ( for example , installing the late bearings the wrong way, which is actually Posible or using bad headstuds )

It’s a little tough in the beginning but it should improve my itself over time . Make sure to clean the mechanism well and spray the moving parts with white lithium grease ( like the one from WD-40) as the grime won’t make stuff easier

Du sagts bei 30:40 das man die Kolben wiegen soll, ist ein guter Tipp. Was für einen unterschied hatten deine Kolben. War das soviel das es sich lohnt die Kolben zu sortieren ?

Hallo, es lohnt sich immer die Kolben zu wiegen, weil dadurch die laufruhe verbessert wird . Theoretisch kann man diese auch so montieren ( wenn diese in der gleichen Gewichts Gruppe sind . Originale vw Kolben werden zb mit + markiert ), ich würde aber davon abraten , weil die erhöhte laufruhe auch den Motor , die Lagergassen usw. Schont ,wodurch die standzeit des Motors verlängert wird. Was das Gewicht angeht : ich kann mich leider nicht mehr erinnern ( ich habe noch einen DJ aufgebaut,welcher sogar eine feingewuchtete Kurbelwelle usw. Hat und die Pleuel haben eine Gewichts Abweichung von 0,5 Gramm)

So mein lieber jetzt hast du 50 Minuten nur scheisse gelabert und so ziemlich alles falsch gemacht was man falsch machen kann. Es ist eine Frechheit von dir solchen falschen Blödsinn im Netz zu verbreite. Versuche doch nicht den grossen Könner zu spielen wenn du von Tuten und Blasen absolut keine Ahnung hast. Sehr geehrter Herr Muller Als erstes möchte ich Sie darauf hinweisen, dass wir uns nicht kennen und dass ich nicht “ihr lieber “ bin. Ich bin stets höflich, dementsprechend erwarte ich dies von Ihnen auch. Ich bin stets offen für konstruktive Kritik und Verbesserungsvorschläge, aber Ihr Kommentar ist wirklich einfach nur ein Schlag unter die Gürtellinie. Ihre Wortwahl ist sehr Grenzwertig und Ihr Kommentar ist einfach nur hasserfüllt. Ein paar Infos zu mir : ich habe in einem Deutschen Motorenwerk meinen Beruf erlernt und ich habe, aufgrund meiner sehr guten Leistungen meine Ausbildung um ein halbes Jahr verkürzt, Dementsprechend bin ich (und meine Meister )der Meinung, dass ich schon ein bisschen Ahnung vom Fach habe;). Bei der Reparatur wurden die Angaben des Herstellers beachtet( sogar vom dichtmittel, welches bei 23c verarbeitet wurde ) , wodurch die problemlose Funktion des Motors gewährleistet wurde (sehe neues Video) , außerdem sind mindestens 95 Personen der Meinung, dass die Reparatur fachgerecht durchgeführt wurde ( eine davon ist ein WBX spezialisierter Motorenbauer mit einer Erfahrung von 25 Jahren ). Ich sehe in Ihrem Kommentar nur allgemeine Aussagen/Anschuldigungen ( nach dem Motto “alles ist falsch”), wodurch ich schlussfolgern kann, dass Sie in diesem Kommentar einfach nur Ihren Frust raus lassen wollten. Falls Sie anderer Meinung sind:Sie können mir ja gerne die folgende Frage beantworten: was habe ich spezifisch falsch gemacht? Ich wünsche Ihnen alles gute Mit freundlichen Grüßen “Günther”

Μπορεί να είσαστε ένας έμπειρος κατασκευαστής αλλά, δυστυχώς, είστε ένας πολύ κακός μάνατζερ. Αν ήσασταν καλός θα επισημάνατε τα συγκεκριμένα λάθη, θα προσπαθούσατε να τα επεξηγήσετε και να βελτιώσετε όχι μόνο τον δημιουργό αυτού video αλλά και όσους το παρακολουθούν. Το να μένατε σε κάποιον τίτλο δε βοηθάει κανένα. Και μια παρατήρηση. Πολύ φοβάμαι ότι και αυτός ο τίτλος είναι εκτός πραγματικότητας γιατί μου φαντάζει πολύ παράξενο ένας τόσο έμπειρος κατασκευαστής να έχει ως εικόνα προφίλ του ένα εικονοστάσιο και όχι κάτι που να έχει σχέση με το αντικείμενο εργασίας του. Zb Amazon (so wird’s gemacht oder der originale wbx Reparatur Leitfaden ). Ein guter Drehmoment Schlüssel ist ebenfalls sehr wichtig. Haben sie einen 2.1l oder einen 1.9l? Wenn Sie den originalen kaufen möchten, müssen Sie darauf achten,dass Sie die richtige Version kaufen

Looks like you used Elring EL-Liq for the case half sealant. Haven't seen that used before. How did it work out?

Correct . It worked out fine, it’s the replacement for the OE sealant but you can use whatever anaerobic sealant you like . Silicon sealants aren’t recommended as they can plug up oil channels

@@Riki.MasoratiKleiner Tipp: So wird's gemacht erklärt die Reparaturen etwas umfangreicher. Jetzt helfe ich mir selbst ist meiner Meinung nach ein sehr interessantes Buch (es erklärt die Funktion der Systeme), aber es ist als Reparaturleitfaden nicht optimal.
