This shyster company uses low quality plastic seal on the inlet top and also uses rubber seal for the main flush unit both should now be "Silicon Rubber" for a longer life.

The cable seizes up in the sleeving , leaving the flush continually running until you reach inside the cistern to lower the plunger.

Brilliant. I have the issue of the never ending flush. I had tried greasing the button which I thought was sticking. It wasnt. Only just looked at the thing properly now. Seems most designs now ditch the silly cable. Wonder why!? I thought I might need to adjust the cable tension some how. Well I tried shooting lubricant down the cable and it now seems to be working again but feels very unreliable. Will see how it goes. Thank you for posting the advice

Did mine today after finding my toilet had failed to fill and was hissing out abit of water only at 5am.... found the washer at screwfix for £3.70 and had it fitted in a few minutes after watching the vid. Only needed a flathead screwdriver to turn off the water.

Why do you show a different push button going into the cistern from the working mechanism?? I’m struggling going from the working mechanism to a fully functioning toilet because the clip doesn’t fit the gap. Any advice?

The flush button is a poor design, i have these fitted to two toilets and the base of the button cracked away from the sides on both within days of each other, lasted just over 3 years. Very very poor

We had 2 problems with our cistern. The diaphram in the inlet was split - fixed with a new one from ebay. Also the flush outlet failed to drop after the toilet was flushed. This was fixed by squirting WD40 down the flush button cable. Can only assume it needed a bit of lube!

This repair will work 7 out of 10 times , then you need a complete new valve , there is nothing more you can do with it .

Just in case anyone else ended up here looking how to remove the button and header tank lid on a Siamp this is how: Unlike the other two dual flush types which you will find many videos for you cant just pull the lid off and there is no hidden screw to look for. What you want to do is rotate the entire button via its outer ring. Using rubber gloves will give you a good grip on it. Keep turning it (anticlockwise) and slowly is will unscrew and come out of the top of the header tank lid. Once the button is free you can easily lift off the lid. To put things back, replace the lid and put back the button. There is nothing special to do for connecting the button apart from make sue it is aligned with the tube inside as you put it back. Tighten it up with some rubber gloves gripping the outer ring this time going clockwise and you are done
@DanHaiduc7 жыл бұрын
Yes there is something special to do when putting the button back: turn the inner grey tube counter-clockwise until it reaches the top.

Where should the water come through when it's filling? Does it come through the front of the valve or should it come through the spout on the side? Also, what is the other part on the top, (with the hole in the centre and some kind of rubber washer that can be seen) that can also be removed? Thanks.

I am totally amazed that companies stay in business with instructions like this. The little spring loaded button on the side of the box moves a plastic collar which slides out of the way of the threaded piece when inserted. Put your glasses on and look in the hole while you press the spring. When the end of the threaded stock is fitted into the plastic box the spring is released which holds the mechanism together. The plastic grasps the collar. There is a small collar on the threaded metal piece. It should be interesting tomorrow when I have to mount this thing with the plastic of the inside (under the lid) and the metal on the outside (top of the lid). Must remember that the mech plunger spins on the cables and the thread only tightens the plastic to the metal. Holy crap.

My previous owner had installed this flushing system in the cloak room loo. It started misbehaving today morning, water leaking, wouldn't stop. I tried to find the name of company which made this wonderful 😞 product, couldn't find it anywhere, unbelievable. why don't they print the model number and the company name prominently so that we can order replacement parts. finally found his video with the help of the photo i had.
