Natacha is kinda bad even for a niche weapon. Yes, more useful against demoknights (and charging pyros), but I feel that it's just better to go with stock minigun against scouts due to the minigun dealing full damage compared to Nata. It just isn't really useful to slow down a scout a little bit in exchange for a lot less damage. Honestly if the gun is hitting the target, Nata gives the scout more chances to get away due to the longer TTK. That said, I wish they never took away the +100 ammo it used to have, because that's all it really needs to be good as a niche weapon. I think that Tomislav is still the best overall choice, or at least on par with stock mini.

Also, I noticed during the video that most of the killfeed seemed to be made up of snipers, on both sides of the equation. It really seemed like it's just a sniper's game, everyone else is just living in it. Then to see that end scoreboard where the top *two* enemy players were snipers, AND that they were far-and-away the majority of the points on the scoreboard, means the vast majority of the game was decided by elements where interaction was a one-way street. People were almost always under a real threat of immediate and sudden elimination with no recourse, no way to counterplay it, or meaningfully engage with it, or turn the table around and put the enemy sniper into jeopardy and apply pressure to get them to back off. It's fundamentally unfun and goes against foundational video game design principles. You are entirely correct in your comment. It doesn't even matter if the guy is legitimate. It seems like he is - nothing here seemed sus at first glance; he's really that good. But that exposes the fundament and fatal flaw of the sniper - besides it being a magnet for cheaters, the core gameplay loop of a sniper character or weapon makes it unsuited to be in any PvP game. It's balanced upon the idea that people will never get "that good" at it, when any video game has oceans of people specifically trying to be the best at the hardest part of it. Look at games like Dark Souls, and real people like "Let Me Solo Her". Making a sniper class/character is just gambling on a balancing idea that people won't practice something to be good at it, when it's literally just a matter of time before that is no longer the case. That makes it fundamentally unbalanceable. You can't balance game mechanics against a hope & prayer that people just won't go and do something that is extremely rewarding when perfected.

9:50 Snipers are certainly an ongoing problem in this game, but damn, that Medic was also an issue there in that moment, and that pyro airblast is also a bugbear. What a frustrating series of events.

overrelience on the grenade launcher, sticky bombs on the teleporter would have been huge. Repeatedly got hit from behind when pushing past the first point, becuase of the faliure to destroy that tele.

Well, the Duck Hunt sounds were certainly interesting.

Flattered, but please don't refer to me as a pro scout (former or not) because it'll set up unrealistic expectations for what your audience will see out of me! Besides that, yes, I think the MM is a very good secondary because it provides great team support with the healing and putting out flames. The best scout secondary items tend to be the ones with one quick use (mad milk, cleaver), as opposed to needing sustained use (pistols). I say this because scout does not hold up well under sustained fire for obvious reasons, so he needs to use items that lend themselves more to hit-and-run playstyles. That's actually why FON is such a good primary weapon for the scout - it compliments what scout is all about very nicely. So I wouldn't say I "swear" by it, but each secondary item has it's use-cases, and MM has a more generous array of use-cases than other scout secondaries. Maybe if Valve get the pistols more accuracy I'd have a different opinion because there is good potential for finishing-off damage with the pistols, but they have about as much accuracy as a toddler wielding an uzi.

So glad to see you're embracing shorter video clips as uploads, and ecstatic to see a fine roast of a bunch of snipers.

2:53 I remember that moment. It was hilarious seeing the enemy frustrated that a dual-pocketed heavy (one medic using the mega heal) didn't immediately die. I bet that heavy felt so powerful in that moment since he legitimately didn't die despite not actually being ubered.
