Mr. Vandross was a New Yorker from the boroughs, and the soundtrack of my young adult life. WE CLAIM him and LOVE him! Rest in peace, sweet, Dearheart, and please know how much we continue to appreciate your gifts. Love, America

I'm all teared up, what would I have been if I followed my voice and sang folk music for a living. I have loved this group since I was 5 years old and never turned down a chance to sing my heart out when asked to. In 1987 I was in a log cabin in Alaska taking care of business for my nephew and sister. The stock market had just crashed and after the winter I struggled greatly. Life takes many detours and high mountain roads only to leave a path called your life history. Peter Paul and Mary were a big part of my singing history. Recently I learned that I can still sing and I was spared of a diagnoses of Bladder Cancer. I will not squander my gift. I now have defiant tears of joy over the love I had for Peter. His days might be over on earth but dare to dream of a better planet with songs of love and in heaven lead by Peter and Mary shinning down on us. Peace on Earth and Joy to the world.

My favorite Dionne Warwick song of all time... So romantic and beautiful. A hidden gem in her catalogue.

Still perfect in 2025. One of the most unmistakable, enduring voices in modern music at her finest here.

...Melissa is giving a *LEGALICIOUS* performance! ...this looks to be the American Music Awards, early 1983....but, her "Flashdance"-esque Dress looks to be ahead of it's period, since that flick was Summer, 1983.... regardless, Melissa is really FILLING up the stage w/ an energetic performance.....
