Nobody can sing "The Way Of Love" the way Kathy Kirby did with her original recording in 1965. I like Julie Budd, she should have been a bigger star than she was. I think it was due to her looking so-o-o-o much like Barbra! Anyway, thank you for sharing!

THERE I READ A COMMENTARY FROM A JULIE FAN IN WHICH I WAS STRONGLY THAT BEING SO GOOD IN HIS ART HAS NOT GOT AS FAMOUS AS IT SHOULD HAVE. SOMETIMES I HAVE THOUGHT THE SAME BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT WHEN AN ARTIST IN THE DISCIPLINE THAT IS RISKS TO BE FAITHFUL TO HIS ART HAS THE RISK OF NOT BEING VALUED ENOUGHLY. IT WILL BE THAT SOME ARTISTS FOR ECONOMIC REASONS END UP SINGING WHAT THEY TELL THEM AND THAT'S WHY WE SEE SUDDEN CHANGES IN STYLE EVEN IF IT MEANS A DAMAGE TO THEIR ART. JULIE WAS AND IT IS AUTHENTIC AND THAT MAKES IT UNMATCHED.

I've always thought this song should have been sung by a man, and not a woman. And what will you do when he sets you free just the way that you said goodbye to me. Unless the womans ex--partner left her for another man and that guy then dumped her ex-partner then the lyrics make sense. But a woman singing those lyrics would be singing them to another woman that got dumped by a guy ....make sense ?
