It's an acid, right? Only issue with that is that it eats away the protective oxidation and makes the discoloration come back even faster. I think shark hide or some sealant would be good on it so you're not constantly acid washing it.

How does that hull ride, I keep hearing its not great, but a LOT of people have them, so im thinking that might not be the case. Im in the market, as to why im asking. Thanks
@CastItForwardFishing
@CastItForwardFishing 5 ай бұрын
Hull ride is good. Hewescraft’s are made with the cockpit positioned farther forward than most other boats. This creates a roomier boat with lots of fishing space, but this also means you’ll adjust the boat’s attitude according to this specific set-up. Trim tabs and Smooth Moves suspension seats aid in this tremendously and are highly recommended.

We run our boards same as we do dipsys. Boards farthest from the boat are shallowest. More line is out because of amount of line to the board, then when a fish is on it goes directly behind the boat. We also use the loop trick on the boards, which ensures a better release when a fish is on.

I was interested to see this, especially since my boat is bare aluminum from the spray rail down and it is looking oxidized too, much like yours. Thanks for sharing, Capt. Art.

Don't see too many guys releasing fish back into the system to allow them to do their thing. Nicely done! Could you possibly sometime explain your planer board setup? Do you run shallowest on the outside ? Enjoying your videos....keep up the good work. Looked like maybe Avon for your launch?

What a BLESSING to have a 60° day in late February and be able to get out and enjoy some time in the lake. And even a better BLESSING to catch the quality of fish you did. There's going to be a lot of FANTASTIC fishing on the lake for a lot of yrs to come. The sure amount of small and not even legal size fish that we saw all last summer was amazing. And hopefully these ladies can pull off another top notch Spawn this yr to match the last few yrs. I spoke to some guys that went out of Fairport on Tuesday. And they did very well also. They managed to keep a total of 5 males/jacks that where between 21-23 inches, between 2 guys. But caught a total of 19 fish/walleye. All where of legal length.
