Fun Outdoor Activity with the Cornerstone of Hope Organization

Recently our organization ‪@CastItForwardFishing‬ held our 3rd Annual event in support of the children from the Cornerstone of Hope Organization.
The Cornerstone of Hope's mission is to "offer grieving individuals and families a safe space to cope with their loss and emerge from their pain with a renewed sense of purpose".
Attended by over 120 people, our goal was to bring care and compassion through our mission of providing outdoor and fishing opportunities to those who otherwise would not have the opportunity.
It was a fun filled, busy day. Our organization provided access to the water via boat rides on our organization's Hewescraft fishing vessel, hands on casting instruction, Therapy Dogs from The Alliance of Therapy Dogs organization, Frisbee Golf, Cornhole, and a huge cookout lunch!
At the end of our day together, we spoke about the healing power and benefits of spending time outside. In the hope of spurring continued participation in our great sport and awe-inspiring outdoors, we then provided every participant with their very own fishing rod, stocked tackle box, fishing hat, fishing shirt, "how to" fishing book, and custom frisbee.
It was an unbelievable day spent with the inspiring group of youngsters and their supporters and we are thankful for our time spent together. We look forward to our annual event again next year.
