I have an eBay business so I buy and sell. I bought it for resale but thought id use it someday so I put it away and forgot about it. Now I don't know if I want to use it, sell it and get 2 cheapy ones, or what. I love the petrified clay as well, so interesting. That pudding stone is so cool. I can't wait to polish it. @@just-one-more-rock I will probably be on the road for a couple of months lol. I have a must visit list and yes Oregon is on it. I live in South Central Kentucky. A couple of months ago I got to take JnVRockhounding to a creek near my home that is full of Geodes and Fossils. We had a lot of fun that day, JnVRockhounding videoed the adventure on Fishing Creek. Would love to meet up with you and have some rockhounding fun!

@@yaydadcooking Texas huh, my mom's was born in a small town near El Paso. I'm just now learning about fossils and it's been fun. Well I don't imagine you'll get much time to grab rocks with all you got going on, but maybe you'll just look at those parking lot strips with pebbles a little different the next time you're shopping. Giving that recently rained on rock with a cool color a double take. Then one day you won't be able to stop yourself from grabbing one. I feel like I'm slangin rocks 🤣

I'm planning on doing a video of me visiting a local rock shop to buy and or trade some Michigan rocks for some 1960's harvested eggs from central Oregon. Im really excited about that one. Been planning it in the back of my head for about a month now.

@AncintArt2ndColony Yep, and I'm real excited. The last two bunches of Thundereggs that I've done videos on came from the same source and they were fairly small. Each 10 pound box of Thundereggs the shop has contains bigger ones, and one in each box that is nearly baseball sized. I want to surface polish one whole big Thundereggs to make a sphere, if I can pull it off.

I want to do more of the lapidary arts but I'm completing a shop extension just for my KZbin work so for now that kind of work has been on hold. That's why there's been lots of cut and reveal vids lately. Find a rock, cut or slab a rock, maybe polish, and move on. I've got totes of future projects in the waiting.

Thanks so much, and that's just the cut. I didn't even polish them. If and when I do, they will pop.

I do still have them all but I believe that 4th one is going to be a gift for someone soon. I do have a few that were similar so I'll check to see what's available. I did cut 74 Thundereggs in the main video so I have lots of halves. If I do have something you like then, I'm sure we can figure something out. I made a new goal for the future and so far it's been fun examining stuff online and now smaller collections from other channels in my own hands !

@AncintArt2ndColony I can definitely get you something I do, and it would be an honor to know you have one. I can get you something simply cut, or I can get a cut half or two polished, or I can carve you some sort of pendant. I do hearts a lot, although I haven't been doing much of the artistic lapidary lately as I'm working on a shop extension that will better suited for that kind of work. I'm open to any suggestion or creative ideas if you want me to attempt it. The idea I have for some pieces will be to drill a hole in the back so it will become sort of a night light. I love the challenge of new ideas. I have a video where I carved a slab into a fish on a wood display. I'm open to whatever. Thanks

Don't have great geology in NE Indiana... usually drive to central Indiana where the glaciers stopped. Nice finding your channel 🫡

Volcanic activity, Columbia River, and Missoula floods has done a lot to spread the wealth throughout Oregon.

@@briankepner7569 Quite possibly but I don't know much about it's properties specifically. I have found quartz with yellow in it or light orange but I always considered it "iron stained", although I guess that's how citrine gets it color. I'll have to learn the difference between iron inside the quartz versus exterior staining I guess. Take a look at the Snow Cone short I have. Jokes were made about the yellow snow. I don't think citrine but rather staining, but what do you think? I'll look closer at my yellow quartz to see what I think with more defined intentions. Thanks for the question that will lead to me gaining more knowledge.

@just-one-more-rock I think I first followed you when I noticed you were working in the yellow bottom. I always found incredible Jasper and agates up there including some serpentine or possibly jadeite so it's fun to watch you go and get rocks. There's some cool just for up in the yellow bottom that has multiple colors of deep red and yellow. Ran into a rock guy that really really wanted my lump and now I don't have one so I need to go hunt again. Best of Christmas Eve to you sir. And Merry Christmas

@briankepner7569 Well, please don't leave me when I say this but I have never been to Yellow Bottom but I do remember you commenting on my video some time ago and . mentioning Yellow Bottom. I had only heard about the Quartzville region prior. I do pull material out coastal that very much resembles Quartzville stuff. Actually without this one location that is full of quartz, agate, and chert...my channel would be heavily lacking content. Happy Holidays to you as well.
