That was fun, Fred. And always enjoy watching family spending time together outdoors. #9 and the final one were sizzling 🔥. Looks like a great spot to collect at.

Yay, glad you enjoyed it. It was a great time out and hoping River will be in more of my videos but I'll take what I can get from my wonderful teen. I can hardly keep up with my younger kid Dylan when he hounds so I don't know when he'll make an appearance. Anyway, yes #9 might be my favorite. I knew you'd like that last one. Similar look to lightning stones from Michigan and if I remember correctly, your a fan of those and Petoskey stones.

Fred, #9 might possibly be a fossil, maybe a sponge/stromatoporoid. But they're usually ancient, 500 to 600,000,000 years old. Could what you're looking at be that old? If it's glacial till maybe. It's still rock and roll to me😅😂😅😂😂

Ooohhh. I love that rock but I hadn't known of stromatoporoid. I'm glad you mentioned that because I looked it up. Yes it is possible it's one but the history I know of Clatsop Spit is that the glacial till was placed 8500 years ago, but that's not necessarily where they formed and maybe the rocks were moved multiple times and Clatsop Spit is it's last movement. The one thing by looking these up is that I seen images of these "plates" with a bumpy sort of alligator looking skin. I have a couple of those out of Washington but I didn't know what they were. You may have set me on the right path. Thanks bud. 🎸🎶😁

@just-one-more-rock It's always a pleasure texting with you Fred 🙂! I like a good geology "mystery". What kind of vehicle does Thor the thunder god drive? A cumulonimbus! Feel free to groan at any time.

@RickSmith-kp3sy The cheesier the better. One mans groan is another mans knee slapper. I appreciate our banter as well.

@@RHAHEHSHDHDH I guess you like some of the green rocks that come from here? I'm fond of them also but I also love the reds as well. When they are together then I'm stoked. I'm getting good response from cutting green rocks. Maybe I collect a dozen and cut them for an all green rock cutting video.
