Haven’t heard this since the 80s. I can’t describe the feelings that just washed over me. It’s incredible how powerful music is. And how I long for these days once again.

This makes you feel so good but so sad because it makes you homesick. I wanna go back before the erosion of time chips away at what makes home " time"

wonderful song, but I am a bit upset that the read female singer is not shown. The real female singer is a black chick from Jamacia. Yes, this is a "happy to be white" song, but credit is due where credit is earned.

This song reminds me of being in the Army and stationed on the West German / Czechoslovakian border. We didn't have much music, but I had this album on cassette and we played it a lot. Takes me there every time...

I'm italian and I never lived in the north of England, but this song makes me feel nostalgic about a place and time I never lived in. It's the power of music I guess.

Don't give a rat's fuck about the 80's, 90's whatever. But I was in Japan when the Challenger launched. I listened in the middle of the night on AFN radio and then spent the rest of the night getting as drunk as I could. I later learned that this was her classes song for her. Christie. So I can't listen without crying.

To fully understand and feel this song, you must: 1. Live in an actual Northern Town. 2. Near a body of water, like a lake. 3. And a railroad yard & tracks. 4. With lots of church steeples. 5. And kids.
