Since you flush the toilet to pull antifreeze through, shouldn’t you also empty the black tank into a bucket just like you did with the gray tank?
@RMAGarage3 сағат бұрын
Once the water is removed from the black tank and the antifreeze is in the black tank, you leave the antifreeze in the black tank so that the seal around the dump valves stays wet.

For the Flush valve, could I just put in some antifreeze versus using and air compressor?
@RMAGarage16 күн бұрын
Yes, you can use antifreeze. Obviously, making sure all the water is removed is the most important thing. Whether air pushing it out or antifreeze taking its place. Thanks for the question.

Thanks for the video! I press the button and just the fuel pump kicks on. I wonder if i stuck a jumper on it , if it would start then? Before i go spend $100 on a Battery, What do you think? I also already pulled the battery and charged it over night
@RMAGarage23 күн бұрын
So I see your logic and I had the same logic. Just charge the battery up and all is good. The problem is that the battery has to keep that charge to run the fuel pump and electronics. My battery appeared to be fine and I thought it was fully charged; however, it could not keep that charge to run the bike. If you can barrow a battery from someone to test if the bike starts and runs fine, then you will know if its the battery or not. I should have tried a known good battery before replacing parts. Hope this helps.

The only way to lock the bike would be a cable lock to the rack or to the vehicle.

Assuming those plugs are the same used in their automatic transmissions. T50/8mm allen. Just yesterday I have to deal with my in-laws 2012 fiesta. I had and tried the T50. Great video! I have my inner strap set up hanging there on something (the rear wiper on my SUV...or you could drape it over the tailgate of the truck) so when I have the bike up there I can hook up the inside strap loose so that the bike hangs outwards a bit. Then I hook up the outer strap tight and then tighten the inner strap to plumb it up. Saves having to lean the bike against the vehicle. It would be nice if you could adjust the front/rear position of the rack so that you could get it as close to the vehicle as possible to reduce the overhung leverage effect. That hitch tightener bolt looks like a good idea...I use a different type of anti-rattle device hat works well but it wears a bit into the main square tube which creates a bit of stress concentration at the point of highest moment loading on the bar which is a bit disconcerting!

Should be illegal to sell vehicles with valve stems that aren't reasonably accessible. Vehicle manufacturers should be liable for tire failures. RV manufacturers should step up but won't.

My original battery in my 2017 Versys 650 lasted 6 years just by riding it almost every day. In south Texas you can pretty much ride every day with some good cold weather gear. I replaced the factory battery with a wal mart battery which is a little more than one year old, I just went over the 32 thousand miles .

Hope you guys are still on line. You mentioned questions were submitted to your website. Is your website still active? We owned a Thor RS26 for 5 years. It is same length, but only one slide. It used a Ford E350 chassis and was blown around a lot. An aftermarket spring-loaded steering stabilizer helped some. Then we traded for a Coachmen Freelander 26DS which is cheaper version of your Leprechaun. It was based on the more common Ford E450, vs your Chevy. It handles like a dream compared to our old Thor, and I don't feel it needs any suspension upgrades. It even has a spare tire! But I want to thank you two for your videos. I looked high and low, trying to find where the fresh water drain was located. You were the first I found to show it <3

Hi Mark, I have the same make RV as you (2017 Leprechaun 260DS) and have watched all of your videos on the Leprechaun. I purchased my Leprechaun earlier this year and have used it numerous times. However, this past week was the first time that I tried to convert the dinette table to a bed. It was impossible to make the conversion from a table to a bed. The cushions and table top did not interlock properly. The table did not sit properly in the lips of the bench seats to make for a bed. Did you have this problem and what did you do to correct it? I saw in another thread for a different year/type of Leprechaun that they got a new sized table from Coachmen. (But, I can't find that link now...for some reason.) Thanks for any help that you can provide. --- Tim in Bel Air, MD.

My leprechaun 260ds has 3 valves for draining the tanks Can you tell me why there is one on the passenger side ?What does it empty ? After a camping trip we drained both black and grey tanks but when we got home the gray tank monitor showed full any suggestions ??
@RMAGarageАй бұрын
The value on the passenger side is for the black tank. When you empty the black tank. you first open the driver side and then the passenger side. Once it is empty, close the passenger side first then the drivers side. The two valve system is so the pipe from passenger side to drivers side always remains empty. Not sure why other than weight. Hope I explained it enough. If not, let me know.

@@RMAGarage All the self tapping screws on the driver’s side (from far left to the center) were either missing or sheared off. I assume that the missing screws had sheared off and fallen out (I found a couple). I replaced them all with larger screws and added about five more screws where the spacing between two screws was too large. I also added caulking to some uncaulked areas between the cab and the motorhome body. This cured the squeaking. Thanks again.

That flimsy little foam seal is entirely inadequate, your cabover attachment was poorly designed, poorly constructed, and the installation was poorly implemented. It should be mounted with bolts, flat washers, lock-nuts, Loctite, and putty tape "rather than foam" for a secure water tight seal. And a nice clean bead of polyurethane RV sealant Around the exterior perimeter of the cabover attachment would provide additional protection.
