I'm finding a lot of posts on Fiesta forums showing the amount isn't a good recommendation from manufacturer. Many folks, including Whoosh Motorsports recommends a full 2 qts.

Personal preference, I crack open the fill port on cars, thatll prevent the glugging when you drain it.

Also never drain it without cracking open the fill port 1st because if it’s drained your stuck with an empty gearbox and no way of filling it to drive anywhere.

PS 3/8" dianeter hose would prob work better then the 1/2" they recommend in the video 👍

thanks for the detailed video. but how often should one change the transmission oil? 80,000 km or 100,000 km?

Our owner's manual says every 150,000 miles but we changed it at 100,000 miles (160,000 km). Thanks for the question.

The car was warm because we drove down to my work place to perform the work. I would think you would want to do it with the transmission warm. thanks for the comment.

Its usually best to drain warm fluid so it flows out better. Not required, but easier and faster to drain. Also as mentioned, you should crack open the fill port first to help air get in to prevent the glugging when removing drain bolt, and to make sure you can fill and theres no issues. Better safe than sorry

If you don’t like the glugging just crack open the fill plug to get air flow

Also, it makes sense to try the fill plug first to make sure you can get fluid in before you take the fluid out.

I am not familiar with that car so I do not know. I would call a ford dealership and ask to speak to the parts department. If you tell them the exact car you have, I am sure they can tell you what oil to use. Thanks for the question.

Hello, have you tried another oil that is an alternative to Motorcraft oil? Such as Amsoil or Redline oils. Do you recommend that or not? Thank you.

We have not tried anything else other than Motorcraft Oil in the Fiesta. That being said, I have used Amsoil in my Mustang GT and is performing well. I have no experience with Redline. Thanks for the question.
