Two suggestions: It might be a good idea to clean the surface that you are going to put the dicor on with a little mineral spirits on a rag and then wipe any residue of mineral spirits off with a dry rag. Second, putting screws back in the original hole will make it more difficult for someone else to replace the vent down the road. The dicor should seal those holes perfectly without the screws.

Just an FYI… the square head screws are called “Robertson’s” Peter Lymburner Robertson was a Canadian inventor, industrialist, salesman, and philanthropist who popularized the square-socket drive for screws, often called the Robertson drive. Although a square-socket drive had been conceived decades before, it had never been developed into a commercial success because the design was difficult to manufacture. Robertson's efficient manufacturing technique using cold forming for the screw's head is what made the idea a commercial success.

How did it hold up because I’m going to do this in the next couple days?
@RMAGarage4 ай бұрын
It has held up great and no odor in the RV. Thanks for the question.

@@RMAGarage that’s awesome. Please don’t take this the wrong way. I’m just glad to see a regular guy doing maintenance on there Rv like me. I watch a lot of KZbin to fix things and it seems like they are paid actors.

A little over kill is just find with me. I would have rather hand tighen screws going in, not a power screw driver.

Why can't people use screwdrivers anymore? Its not that hard.
