Hey there, nice job at your conversion "BUT" your wrong with your statement about "You can make any Chevy truck inti a 4x4, I have a 1988 Chevy 3500 Dually 2x, ive checked out all ways of trying to convert my truck into a 4x4, my front frame rails are not straight like yours are mine are radius around the coil spring saddle, I came to find out that to do the conversion i`d have to cut my frame off about haft way through my cab and weld on a different year frame to my rear frame rails, I just wanted you to know the difference in my year Truck and other years, great job, Robert c/o Robert Hernandez Construction

Good day, I have a 77 GMC camper special 2wd, my plan is to make this a 4wd. From my research on KZbin it seems that most people do the conversions by doing tons of fabrication and frame modifications. My question is this, why do people not do body swaps instead? With swapping the body on a 4x4 chassis a person only needs to modify the trans tunnel in the cab (or install a 2 inch body lift). Am I wrong with my thought process?

I had a question about your measurements, when you say 50 7/8 from the bolt on the body mount, are you referring to the large bolt that actually bolts the body to the frame or the rivet at the front of the body mount?

Big ol rear end lol I have my grandfather 85 chevy 2wd I have a 4x4 blazer that's clean and a parts one I want to change the front axles and get the 2wd to sit like a 4wd I have a 454 30 over to go in it im not worried about hooking up the 4x4 right yet but will in the future do you think I'd be Fairly simple to put the solid front end under the truck if I buy the brackets for the conversion kit

Planning on making my own kit, was wondering if you could help me out. On the front hanger mount; how far is the hole dropped down from the frame? On the rear hanger frame mount; how far is the center of the hole from the frame? And lastly; how long are your shackles and what "lift" are the leafs you're using? Appears you have around 8-9 inches of lift.

What transfer case to fit the 8l90

Would like to see your lower shock mounts and how the shocks cleared the draglink, or did you do crossover steering.

If you ever find yourself butt joining two pieces of pipe again, drill some holes for plug welds in the pieces you’re joining together for extra strength.
