That 3rd brake light is a cargo light. Turn the headlight knob all the way to the left. You will feel the detent.

Hey Colt, great to see you and the 7.3 again. Regarding your door panels - have you seen videos “refurbish plastic with a torch”? Incredible that it works. May be worth a try before you shop for new ones. Sorry to hear about Tucker-great you rescued him and gave him a wonderful life. See you soon.

20:56 No 3rd brake light up there back then, it's just a white light that comes on when you turn headlight switch counter-clockwise to the detent where the interior 'dome' light on the roof comes on. I don't think the brake light wiring was put in up there til later -'93 on maybe? 🤔👌🏻👍🏻 ✊🏻🇺🇸🦅

I'm sure the front springs are just really tired out and not holding up the heavy weight of the 7.3 too well anymore. Just replacing them with new factory springs will bring front end up like 2 inches probably. Stick an extra helper into the pack to give it more support. Just take it to a spring shop that does custom work they'll get you situated and won't be too much money, not like buying a legit lift kit online. Anyways enough rambling, it's nice to see a video from you and sorry to hear about the loss of the dog.

Great video Colt! Glad to see the old IDI back! Quick tip: try using a small butane torch on the door panels before you go and spend money on new ones. It can restore that old plastic. Also try wiping linseed oil on the body of the truck before you spend money on clear coating it. Some food for thought, keep up the good work brotha!

Man I'm sorry to hear about Tucker! Until recently, I've always had beagles that I used to take rabbit hunting too, but after my last one that I had for 16 years, I needed something different because seeing other beagles teared me up. Where the Red Fern Grows was my favorite book in school. In fact it was the only book I can honestly say I ever read cover to cover back then haha. I was born in 83 too so I've seen those tape deck cleaners and was gonna suggest trying that until I heard you say you bought one later in the video. Hopefully that works. I love that you're trying to keep it as original as you can! I love that truck! My first vehicle was an 81 F150 and a lot from your truck reminds me of my old one. I wish I still had that old turd lol. Take care brother! Get that heater core fixed too 😜

Love it. makes me miss my 95 F350 7.3, I so miss that sound. That sound is the only thing missing from my 20 6.7. Good/best music choices too IMO. There are places that will repair the old tape decks. About 10-15 years ago I send in my 8-Track player from my 73 AMC Javelin, and had it repaired, but like I said it was quite some time ago.

Colt-those door panels look like they are in good shape, except for the color. You might want to consider dying them and see if it works out vs replacing. Might be worth the $40 gamble before buying new.
