Imagine trying to complete a Switch North American set. This is a daunting task since a lot of switch releases with variant covers and different small publishers. Also there is an updated version for Mario Kart 8 deluxe with the DLC on cart which is never advertised. I doubt this was sold in stores and can only get it through a small website that has a connection with Nintendo. I am curious to see if someone actually has the resources to track down every copy ever released.

Yeah but in the grand scheme of things, none of that really matters because when you die none of it belongs to you anymore. Just enjoy life and not worry about if you don't own a game who fucking cares you still get enjoyment and moneys worth out of the games. None of your physical stuff is coming with you in your grave lol I sold my xbox one and quit gaming for 4 years and recently bought a xbox series x because I got into gaming and guess what ? All my digital games I bought from over the years are still there all I had to do is re-downloaded them ever my saved data was all still there nothing was taken away from me. You can't beat convenience and I grew up with physical media and the Sega Genesis era. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug lol

I think 3DS is being overlooked. You can't emulate it. A good condition New 3DS XL is very hard to find and expensive. Games are already moderately high, but still affordable for the more common titles. I see it becoming expensive down the road

PS3 games, at least the less common ones, are not easy to find. But they are available on Ebay (which is always a crapshoot). I hope we still have a few years. X Men Origins Wolverine went parabolic this year and is up with the spider mans now.

The best way to hurt sony and microsoft and nintendo is to no longer pay to play digital releases, stop buying hardware 1st hand and stop paying to send in your console for warranty repairs

It might sound ridiculous… but I’m 26 and I haven’t worked since I was 23. I still haven’t gotten my bachelors degree in health science. My parents were homeless for a bit a couple years ago and my step dad recently passed away. My anxiety has been through the roof lately and the thought of working is scaring me for some reason. I’m scared of the next bad thing happening or someone dying… or even me being the one to pass away. I’m setting myself up for failure but I’m not sure how to overcome my anxiety. I’m even taking a break from school because of all the stress

Never heard of this until today. it's the californian AB 2426 bill because Sony was gonna delete Discovery (Mythbusters, deadliest catch, etc) shows from existing devices. Targets all digital goods. I don't think it's gonna affect digital sales and I think it will take people a lot more time to realize that they don't own what they bought digitally. If anything to take away from this, now is the best to really start buying physical media and archiving them for your own personal use.

I don’t think the market will crash but we are in a market correction. I think things will be calm for awhile until the next generation of consoles will come out that is digital only and that might make people run back to the older stuff because physical. Or it could go the other way and people have accepted that they don’t need to hoard all of these games and emulation, flash carts, and ODE’s are just as good and more accessible.

I wonder if this law would apply to a service like GOG as they offer DRM free downloads.
