Awesome video guys. Over the top! Love these first gens and the RS/SS in 67 was wonderful. 350 was the one to get. the 396 was too raw for most people.

Thats not fastback styling. Thats a coupe. A 2 door hardtop, definaely a fastback. A 66 charger or 66 toronado or an amc marlin, those are fastbacks

Cool music, a little loud, but cool. Is that what you're showcasing? Yeah, yeah, I'm an old guy...now turn it down. This one minor annoyance aside, we had two of these tanks in my family and we traveled cross country in these beauties - well roundtrip road trips from California to Texas. A family of 7-fit comfortably in the car, mostly on top of each other, but com-for-ta-ble. Definitely a dream car.

If you research the spoiler option (RPO code "D80" = spoilers front and rear), I think you'll find that this option was not available on Camaros prior to the 1968 model year. No 1967 Camaros left the factory with spoilers, but spoilers have been added to almost all of them over the years.

Great to see this young girl take interest in her Ranchero. I looking at a 1960 at the moment and I notice they had no seat belts, are seat belt easy to install? Gracias for the wonderful video.

Hello! So cool to hear you're interested in the 1960 ranchero! I bought a JEGS seatbelt kit and ended up doing some custom fabrication to add a proper 3-point seat belt to dolores. I added the JEGS seatbelt a few months after this video had been recorded. I ended up having to drill a hole in the rear shelf behind the bench seat to make an anchoring point, as well as two brackets that went into the floor behind the bench seat to hold the clasp/clip (I forget the word for it 😅) They work really well and beyond having to put a few holes in the floor and the shelf they were easy to install. They're FMVSS 209/302 certified and have made the ranchero a much safer ride. Cheers!

2:26 What a beauty! 55 Buicks were the “poor man’s” Cadillac ..lol I was born in 1955, I can’t drive 55 because my ford ranger blew a gasket (or was that the Isuzu)? oh well, anyway, The Bus..😡 Craig’s list is gouging us on junkers.. But my son fixed the truck and then I gave it to him. I’m in Oregon, he was in Idaho Montana border. He passed away two weeks ago. He was 51 and loved by many because he loved many.. RIP Christopher James Aldrich My boy.

My maiden name is Coddington. I used to watch Boyd Coddington because I love old cars. We are not related (darn).. but he passed away what 15 yrs ago? Anyway,I also had a cop come to our door because my new stepson was a neighborhood little thief but a lovable one he was 12. Anyway cop introduced himself as detective CODDINGTON.. too funny .. I’ve had (good ) cops in the family but they had different names..lol Alhambra,Glendora,El Monte Ca. They gave more warnings back then, than arrests..😆 late 60’s 70’s etc… They both became well respected chiefs.. Thanks for reading this whomever. I’m just getting up there, live alone, talkative .. Never used to say poop if I had a mouthful, now I’m talking yourselves in virtual mode.. I love being a granny.. 😄

My Dad brought home a brand new Oldsmobile Jet-Star-88 when I was around 12 years old, Circa 1966. It was the only new car he ever had.I remember it like it was yesterday, and I'm 70 years old. Sister automobile to the Jet Star. Bronze exterior, a real beauty. Unfortunately we drove it into Automobile Heaven. When I got my drivers license I drove it. It was so that fast it scared me. The cars of that time period did not handle all that well though, like today's cars. Still, I wish we had kept it.

My dad bought a 1962 around 1965. It had a torsion bar front suspension and a hydraulic clutch. I have seen other 1962 models that had coil springs on the front end. I have wondered why some were coils and some were torsion bars. I repainted it in 1968 because it had some rust pits on the bed. I was 16 years old and thought because it did a great job painting model cars that doing a real truck would be no problem. It did not shine. It was a good truck only had to change the fuel pump several times.
