Awesome video, did your robot actually stop working? Mine still works fine just the swivel tangles. What do I need to do here?
@Dentinvent4 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Yes that was one of many swivels I have fixed. The contacts actually corroded so badly that the robot would just keep stopping. It worked again after this fix. Regarding the tangling , where the cord enters the swivel , you need to lubricate the O ring with silicone grease . Make a long fine tube adapter to be able to squirt the lube into the rubber seal . This can help the swivel from tangling .

@Dentinvent I'll switch to English. It seemed important to me to leave the first comment in my native language to show that your video is interesting not only to an English-speaking audience. Your video is very useful, it saved me a lot of time, since otherwise I would have to disassemble the side wall first and then the bottom tray. Your video gave me the idea that the problem may not be in the drain hose (error e25), but in the dirty materials that got stuck on the motor shaft. Disassembling the front part is much easier than disassembling the side and bottom part of the dishwasher. because the usual tests with a finger twisting the propeller of the drainage pump do not suggest that the problem is in it. Thanks a lot again!

Per the company, there is most likely a simpler solution. I unfortunately started pulling mine apart to see how to get at the battery and then suddenly it started charging again after many charging tries. Confirmed by the company's instructions below. Contact them for the full PDF of tips and tricks.... My MEGABOOM no longer charges, how do I fix it? Your MEGABOOM can sometimes get into a state where it doesn’t charge. To get your MEGABOOM back to a normal charging state, do the following: 1. Connect your speaker to the charger and leave it connected for a few seconds. 2. If the charge LED fails to pulse continuously, disconnect the cable from your speaker, then reconnect it, and leave it connected for a few seconds. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until your speaker gets to a normal charge cycle - the LED should continue to pulse. (This could take up to 25-30 times.) 4. Once your speaker gets to a point where it charges normally, continue to charge it until the battery is at 100%. Be sure to update the firmware on the speaker so that the issue does not re-occur. To update your MEGABOOM software: 1. Download the latest app for your speaker. 2. Connect your speaker to your smartphone and open the app. 3. Tap More, then tap the update prompt. (I think if the latest update is already installed, there is no "More" option. I didn't find it or any indication a firmware update was available to install on the speaker.) Perform a Factory Reset: Press the Volume “-” and Power buttons simultaneously and hold for 10 to 15 seconds. You’ll hear a tone that indicates the reset was done and your speaker then should turn off. This reset will bring your speaker back to factory settings. Turn your speaker back on using the Power button. The speaker will be in Bluetooth discovery/pairing mode. After you have performed the Factory Reset, please charge your speaker overnight (5+ hours) to recalibrate the battery. All the above worked great for me. Has the dishwasher been used recently to clean really greasy items ? Grease can actually sit inside the lines and not be visible. Inside the machine on the left side there sits a large section of tubes inside a case . It is about the size of the left panel of the dishwasher and cannot be seen without taking the dishwasher apart . Grease maybe blocking this . They say very hot water poured into the dishwasher and then cycled through may help to dissolve it . In my new video I used a proper dishwasher cleaner . This started it working again but it two about 5 washing cycles to completely get rid of the intermittent code ( I am assuming more and more grease was cleaned out with more cleaning cycles). Thanks for this helpful video! Our unit has a 3-pin cable and I think the power supply is faulty (erratic voltages). Do you know the expected voltages at the power supply socket? 30V between which pin numbers, and what about the third pin? Thanks for any help!
@DentinventАй бұрын
I’ll check when I get home but the third voltage is very low like around 5 volts and that is only used to change floor/wall/ water line selections . Best place to check voltages would be the power supply and then check at the robot end but you have to take the cable out of the robot so make sure you silicone grease the connection well and check for corrosion inside the motor box connection . Also do not over tighten that white ( or black ) nylon nut .
@DentinventАй бұрын
If your multimeter lead is negative on pin 3 the 29 volts DC is pin 2. There is a signal voltage on the third pin . I can check what that is if you want but be careful that you are using a good quality meter as some of the low end meters can give fluctuations.
@NN-tk7uwАй бұрын

@dentinvent Hi I am working on my neighbors Supreme M4. I have continuity all through the cables and the correct voltage all the way up to the motherboard where the voltage reads the same as the box. The motors will run off the box when I jump from the box. but nothing happens after I reconnect everything. My neighbor said a rag was sucked into it. The tracks spin easily and motors work. Could it be the motherboard. It does light up though and give the correct voltage. I did use his other box that currently runs the premium model and no change. Thanks for any advice!!

That’s really interesting that if you run directly off the power supply it works but not with the cable . Sometimes voltage is not an indication of being correct . Can you swap the cable with another one to check ? Also is there any corrosion at the motor box - cable connection and is there any corrosion in the anti tangle swivel connector ?

@@Dentinvent Funny enough I was thinking the same thing about the cable. His cable is fairly twisted. I could try his box and cable on his premiere and see if that makes a difference? The replacement was the Exact same motor. The seal was new on the motor case so no water damage I could see. It never has tried to do the test part. Could it be the bearings on the drive motor causing too much resistance? I mean would it at least try to do something once all is connected? When it was upside down , did the wheels spin smoothly ? I found one two weeks ago that the pool shop said it was a blown motor and it was actually the active brush bearings broken causing robot to just stop . Have a look there . Hi Dentivent and thanks tons for your video. I am really hoping you can help me with my faulty machine. About a week ago I noted that my Maytronics DB2 Robotic Cleaner D9440H - 20/07/2021 was moving forward about 10cm and then backwards about 20cm and then it would stop. Yesterday, I took it out of the water, checked that there was no visible obstructions, cleaned the impeller and then did the upside down out of water test. It was during this test that I noted that there was a clunk after every rotation. It operated for approximately 15 or 20 seconds and then stopped for about 5 seconds and then started up again, but it did not turn itself off (with the continual clunk every rotation). I turned it off, put it back in the pool and it did the same thing; forward 10cm, back 20cm and then would not move. Today I have removed the track covers and confirmed that there is no blockage. I hand spun the cleaner rolls and noted that there is a 'clunk' on every rotation. I then tried the upside down out of water test again; however this time the tracks moved very slowly for approximately 2 seconds and then it stopped. I waited approximately 2 minutes and it did not commence operating again, so I turned it off. Can you please suggest anything with this one? Cheers, John
@Dentinvent2 ай бұрын
Glad to help. I’ve fixed two DB2 machines in the last few weeks . They are similar to the S200. The clunk is most likely why it is not working . I’d take the tracks off and spin the wheels to see if you have a broken gear or the gear is not engaging properly. Let me know what you find.

Don't replace your fork seals this way anyone. The bushings need inspecting, the fork stanchions can be scratched or dented this way using wrong tools. Just do the job properly, strip down the forks, inspect the bushings and clean out everything before reassembly. Clean off everything!! Use some insulation tape on top of fork stanchion and a bit of red rubber grease to slide new seal over and into place using a seal driver. Wipe a small amount of red rubber grease around the fork stanchion just above the seal. Fill with correct type and amount of oil. Refit dust seals and fork caps. Pump forks a few times hard to take the grease into the fork seals.

Strange if it passes the upside down test . When the wheels run with robot upside down does it look smooth? If it has a central active brush , often the bearings go and cause the gears to run crookedly . This can make the robot stop . If the gears of the active brush look suspect , remove the active brush completely and see if that works . What in the red light on power supply ( what does it mean ?) show .

The dump flap / rapid drain flap had been dislodged a few times after going over some large debris. I’d previously fixed that however hadn’t noticed that the flap had started to warp so that it wasn’t closed and causing poor suction. The unit was also unable to climb walls. The guide for removing the dump flap / rapid drain flap and then heating it to remove the warp has immediately fixed my issues! Saved me a trip to get it serviced.

Love the thanks . I’ve checked many broken down robots and a lot do not even have the rapid drain flap ( missing ). Sometimes robots are left in bad quality water and the flap looks like a dog has chewed it .

That’s great to hear . Just watch the salty corrosion of sea water and sweat . Sometimes rinsing with some distilled water will help prevent it happening again .
