I hope together we can shift our economic realty away from a capitlist system that makes us more individualized rather than community driven. When being rich won’t be the thing that determines if we are masculine or not

There are people that have been in relationships where they were the good friend, the person that poured into others, and they are simply drained and tired. It can be difficult always being the person who supports, uplifts and gives encouragement to others, while you are not being given the same support or encouragement. I truly understand why people are drifting away from relationships that are non reciprocal. It's important to have friendships, but I would also say that it's better to have quality over quantity. It's also important for us not to expect our friends to tell us to do things that we should be capable of doing ourselves. I shouldn't always have to have somebody hold me accountable for things that I know I need to change in my life. Yes it's wonderful when it happens, but putting that responsibility on somebody can be very overwhelming and draining.

People that cut everybody off don't usually make good friends. They be the main problem.

It's easy enough to take over what we ourselves produce and consume if only we get on code together to make people pay us for the passes we so freely been givin. Gotta stop being impressed by people's emulation and start making them demonstrate appreciation via remuneration. Our music is global but we don't own and control the global distribution. We don't even own and control the local distribution. We need more people interested in running the business side.

It’s been time for us as a people to delineate against any and everything going against whatever we started or had something to do with creating! We really have to stop allowing those that oppose and oppress to validate our achievements as well! We are the originals and not the copy!

those people that said that about kendrick and doechii likely werent black american. we often perceive these conflicts as infighting, when really its happening across ethnic lines. If black americans identified more with their ethnic group than their race, we would see where these problems are coming from

Musical genre is not about race. It's about artistic expression. If it were about race, there would be no Black performers in Italian opera, classical European, or Jewish klezmer music, and there are. In fact, we're even performing traditional Asian music. True artists don't respect superficial boundaries.
