Colin hay blew through our town 10 years ago and played a small venue of 75 people. I sat front row center not ten feet from Colin as he sang new stuff but also my men at work favourites. I closed my eyes and was transported to the early 80’s never imagining that I would ever see or hear Colin live let alone in such an intimate setting. Of course I bought his cd gathering mercury which he graciously signed. Thank you Colin for an evening I won’t soon forget.

Met whole arm cramped up trying to pull this one off haha. I’ll have to keep practicing. I know I can get it eventually. I’m hoping to learn this chord so that I can play Luke Grimes’ “Hold On”

Shane, can you please look at the song "In my Blood" by Cody Jinks and Charlie Starr? It got a great melody. Its played an acoustic, and it sounds beginnerish. There are 0 guitar lessons on it. Give it a listen and if you like it. Put it on your radar. Thanks Shane

why is your thumb different at 1:38 and 4:02 on the same chord. Nobody ever talks about the thumb. You change effortlessly it seems for Em to Dm at 4:48. Do you realize how hard that is for a beginner? Takes me about 5 seconds for that change. Got any tips on making fast changes when learning chords?

P.S. I just bought a used Taylor 214 at a local guitar store. Took it straight away to a luthier I've known since '77 to adjust the action and put a Fishman thin line pickup with a pre-amp in it with a tone and volume control.
