Does the metal grate on the intake side get clogged with debris?
@yorkiepit11 ай бұрын
I'm not the person who made the video, but I've been flipping houses and have had my contractors used the Harbor Freight dust collector many times to remove insulation, it removes it effectively, you have to remove the grates from both sides, or it will clog. I've never had them use it to blow in the new insulation because Home Depot has a machine that they will lend you to do it if you buy enough insulation that's specifically designed for that.
@bradhudson5018 Жыл бұрын
Do you think one of these units would be enough to cool a kei truck without insulation. They have a very small cab area so maybe could get away without insulation?
@functionalvanconversion4284 Жыл бұрын
What are the dimensions, temperature? If you installed the unit like a traditional window AC maybe depending on dimensions. Once you plumb tubing the output really decreases exponentially depending on the length and bends in your ducting. I actually added a zero breeze in parallel in that same window to keep up with 30 cubic foot poorly insulated area.

Yay! Thank you so much for sharing this hack! I can't sleep with any lights on or being hot. I don't have ac right now in Pennsylvania, so i am making do with what I've got. I follow your instructions with prying open and finding the little LEDs. I have the Polar Chill. It has two sets of LEDs for the fans. The second corresponds with the fashion light. I left them and only scraped the first one. It worked. I can have the fan running without any light. Keeps me cool till the temp drops enough. Thanking God for all lf this. 😊

Is there a certain way the splines have to line up? I cracked my cover and thought it would be a easy fix until it came to getting this bearing shaft to go back in.
@functionalvanconversion42842 жыл бұрын
Just gently rotate it until it slides in, if I recall correctly, you will be able to push it until only 1/4" won't let you install the cover, so this is when you have to use a long piece of something clean (prevent debris from getting in there) to lift the bottom of the shaft to get it deep enough for you to reinstall the cover. Does this make sense?

Well the other 400 screws and random parts that you removed prior to getting to this pump would have been extremely helpful. Not to mention calling out the right part number for the pump. I threw in the towel after I was holding all those random screws and parts an the pump was not correct. Not sure who paid you to do this videos, but you really didn't do anyone any favors. This is practically impossible to get back together and especially when you call for the wrong part for the pump. You really need to delete this crap and start over. @functionalvanconversion42843 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the input. The box will block one door or the other and for us we need to be able to access the driver's side as we have a secondary freezer on the driver's side, so it works fine for us. In addition if it swung out to the driver's side it would be scary when we are working in areas along a street road. I think that after the shipping issue are all done we'll be building a custom carrier more like the wilco, but with a higher weight capacity. Thanks for watching:)

@@functionalvanconversion4284 I don't know if I want to say on this forum, lol. I'm grinding stumps on a couple acres of clear cut land and I got hooked on a big spruce stump. I pushed back against the stump to get clear and the PTO shaft compressed against the case. Not the BX's fault by any means, the chassis is really too small for what I'm doing. I broke the cover and the PTO gear shaft pushed against the PTO selector shaft you reference in your video. This sheared a couple teeth off of the gear, $316 Cdn for that shaft. The only good part is the local dealer didn't make fun of me when I did the walk of shame today.

How'd the repair go? My saw isn't oiling properly, but it still pumps oil. Not sure if it is a weak pump or something else. I have cleaned the bar out so I know it is not that. Also thinking it is that little rubber bit may be worn on the plastic cover causing it to not seal properly.

They work well. The cons are as follows: software is not accurate so if your on the road for extended amounts of time the manufacturer recommends that you charge them to 100% weekly. This can be challenging when you are in the woods for extended amounts of time. The other issue is when you leave the RV for extended amounts of time you need to bring the batteries down to 50% SOC, but the batteries have bluetooth that still drags a small amount of power. I am currently out of town for 4 or 5 months and will have a good idea how much power was consumed by bluetooth. Outside of this the batteries are nice for the weight, size and no fume benefits. Does this help? Thanks
