The NIV has repentance from acts that lead to death - sin. I think this is the most transparent translation. Rather than works of the law, which have no bearing on believers in the new covenant. Cheers

They say that we're not under the new covenant, which means we don't have forgiveness of sins. Pray to God for wisdom about these verses. Romans 9:6-8 King James Version 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. There's 2 seeds of Abraham mentioned here, the fleshly seed, and the spiritual seed. The spiritual seed are the children of promise, and they are Israel in the spirit. The Bible says that we're the children of promise. Galatians 4:28 King James Version 28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. Believers are Israel mentioned in the first half of "For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel" It's saying that the fleshly seed of Abraham isn't the spiritual seed of Abraham just by being born a Jew, but by belief we are made the spiritual seed, which is Israel. If you understand this, you won't be deceived by these dispensationalists.

I found that to grow and rest in Jesus is having to avoid gatherings of people with defiled consciences. It seems a rare thing to find a place to fellowship, which is spiritually safe. Outside the camp, it seems to be the safest ground now. But when the Kindness and the Love of God our Saviour appeared onto men not by works of righteousness which WE have done but by His Mercy He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our SAVIOR. Quit bashing "the law". Christians made it "the law". To God's people it's instruction and instruction is good. The choice we have is between Life with God or doing things our own way. The entire Bible is filled with examples of us doing things our own way, poorly. Jesus set the standard for choosing Life with God, which was always the alternative to doing things our own way. The goal is making our own way and God's Way the same. That's the Kingdom. There's the Gospel for you.

There are good local churches out there brother. It's God's will for you to find one and get involved. That's what the Bible teaches for all of us.

The universal Church is supposed to meet in a local organized body.(With pastors, / bishops and deacons) If you want a good church go find a good Independent Baptist Church that uses the King James Bible and preaches a sound gospel.. that is fulfilling the Great commission
