Nice video. But it would be better if the Ukrainian was repeated 2-3 times so we could practice.

Nice! More like this please. Also, can you produce in slow Ukrainian some common simple dialogues with the English translation first then several repeated Ukrainian versions of that intended thought as it would be commonly spoken in Lviv or Kiiv? And something like thst in a 40+ minute could be good for listening to on a plane or long drive to build up familiarity with common basic conversations.

My base is the Ukrainian taught on Duolingo. It is not much but it is a start. The other day I listened to a simple podcast of a woman introducing herself. She provided the transcript and I was able to both follow along as she read and to look up the words that I did not know. I would suggest that you do the same thing. I also suggest that you break up the story into smaller more manageable segments. Let’s say if you limit the reading to about 10 minutes maximum and make four videos instead on one it would be much easer for the listener to listen to each one, look up the words we do not know, practice the pronunciation of those words and listen to the video a couple more times. It is quite a bit of work even for a small video if it is a little beyond our base of knowledge. Writers like Charles Dickens wrote books a serials segments that were published in the newspaper. I do not know why you could not use the same sort of concept here. I would certainly watch them if they were in my capacity to work through them. ****I wrote too soon, afterward writing the first part of my comment I saw where you furnished a pdf of the transcript. This will take many sessions in order to work through. Even a couple of minutes of reading can take an hour or more at home to do it justice because of all the new words. Thank you for doing this. It is just what I need. When I was in school eons ago learning French, we did not do enough oral practice. As a result, I could read French more or less but could not speak very much of it. I have since worked through much of that. So my approach to learning a language now as an adult is to try and get as much practice as I can listening and speaking the language. Duolingo is pretty good at that. The Ukrainian course is sorely lacking in grammar. They do much better with other languages such as Spanish. Anyway, at least I got a start with Duolingo and am prepared to look for a more comprehensive course. What Duolingo provided is probably is not enough to be able to understand this story very well but I will see. Thank you very much for taking the time and making the effort to provide us this material.

That was a good idea using examples from Duolingo to make your lesson. You planned a very good lesson. Дуже добре!

Thank you for the very helpful, well-organized video. I just completed the current Duo Lingo Ukrainian course for English speakers. I would estimate that about 40% of the words you list are not included in their free-with-adds course. Where did you get your very useful word list?

This was exactly what I needed! I went through the whole Ukrainian module on Duolingo and was so frustrated that they gave you no help for the endings. Looking forward to the next lesson.

Its great but you need more then one source also getting a tutor to make sure you are saying words correctly will help you learn faster. As pronouncing the letters of the alphabet can be tricky

It is tough picking out the individual words when she is speaking at conversational speed. Thank goodness that the conversation is written out so that we can follow.. This is going to take a lot of practice.

Your channel is just SO LOVELY! It's really nice to see someone who is learning from the ground up (like me) it's a bit like having a study buddy! Also you pronounce all the sounds of Ukrainian so clearly and I like your idea of keeping it as simple as possible. Thank you for all your great content!

Sometimes I think it is better to learn how to say the numbers before learning how to read them because once you can read them, they affect the way you say it and sometimes it is not pronounced exactly the way they are spelled.

Pryvit, thank you for explaining with the examples. It's a huge help, I'm early in my learning Ukrainian and using the correct endings is my weak area. Massive thanks, from a new subscriber. All the best..

Ukrainian speaker here. Respectfully, your Ukrainian assistant has Russianized the letter Щ. It’s not pronounced SH but SHCH. A combination of two letters Ш and Ч thus ШЧ = Щ. For example, the Ukrainian carol Shchedryk known as Carol of the Bells: Щедрик. Here’s a link with an audio sample of the pronunciation of the letter Щ along with examples of usage. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/h56lfZybftqZbLM Nice to see non-Ukrainians taking interest in the Ukrainian language. Keep at it!👍

Some pears and oranges - перепрошую, не "якісь" груші і апельсини, а просто груші й апельсини. Є риба, пудинг, груші й апельсини. Some тут означає не "якісь невідомі", а просто певну кількість без уточнення. Що є груши та апельсини, но нам не важливо, фунт ціх фруктів чи два фунти.
