I agree with nearly everything you said and somehow still enjoyed sea of stars. I think it’s because I’ve played a lot of really deep and thought provoking rpgs and to have one where I could turn my brain off and just enjoy it the way you’d enjoy a dumb summer blockbuster was what I needed at that time. That being said the story and characters are some of the weakest I’ve seen in awhile. My biggest two complaints were the stupid names that every character and location had (mirth, brugraves, aephorul, etc.) and the fact that the puzzles in the game boil down to some combination of pushing blocks around or changing the time of day. You can only do so many of those puzzles before it becomes busywork and honestly it made me use just enough of my brain that I would kind of wake up from the summer blockbuster illusion this game gave me and I’d start to see the flaws more clearly. For some reason though I still enjoyed it overall but I can’t really put my finger on why.

Is there any way to find your playthrough of these games anymore? I'd love to watch you go through these but twitch deletes everything 2 months and older (unless highlighted).

I watched this video the day a friend bought the game for me and invited me to play with him. Now, 243 hours sunken into the game, I came back to it and finally feel capable of understanding every little detail and joke. Thank you for the great introduction into OJ lol

i may be months late but to answer, V got the money by robbing robbers after he was separated from Urizen. V lore in the manga/novel is quite interesting.

I've grown to despise viper after months of raiding in this tier. Playing samurai perfectly is a pain in the ass and requires all my attention and effort. But then I can switch to viper and outdamage any samurai while drunk. It's far easier but outputs more damage. Makes me wonder why I even bother with sam. The biggest challenge I've faced on viper is not falling asleep because of how braindead and easy it is. And here's the kicker. Viper was brainless from the start, but they still simplified it further. What the fuck? I'll not even bring up picto, which is clearly the favourite child of this expansion.

I personally enjoy the game but it’s okay if others do not and I’m okay with that.
