I hate parsing so much. it's so common to see people cause a wipe bc of stupid things that don't actually matter, like greeding an extra gcd as a melee and then not resolving a mech in time bc of it, just having to finish that cast before moving, or maybe the fact that raiding is becoming dull and shallow bc square is too scared to add in more interesting mechanics since then people will cry about losing .1% gcd uptime when they have to move out of range of a boss to hit an add, so instead have a generic spread/partner stack combo that every single other boss in the game also has, but hey atleast you have uptime lul

You should try UWU, it's super fun. If you can clear any savage tier while current, you're more than overqualified for UWU. UCOB too, but UCOB can be a little jank with its outdated mechanics and a lot of people dont find it particularly fun.

Good take. I did my ultimates because I wanted to know that I can. They are not easy, but you just have to study and put in the work. (same for raid tiers, tbh). It's cool to have the weapon and title, but the only one I really use is sch UCOB (since there is not a sge/gnb one) since it works for my glam/pet glam. GL on TOP!

I definitely get where you're coming from, as I do savage content for the sake of clearing it. The feeling I get when clearing a fight and the memory I make in that moment are more valuable tha any gear or mount I can get from it. I hope to one day clear all Ultimates for the same reason.

I have a static member that throws away his Savage mount because he's too lazy to make a favorite mount list so he keeps his mount count to only those mounts that he likes and wants the roulette to summon. He has less than 20 mounts and has been playing since ARR. He's only ever kept 1 savage mount from what I remember. lol To his credit, he always takes the last mount (8th) and then ritually disposes of it. :/ His mount, he can do whatever he wants with it. :D

This is a good video. I don't have much to say other than I agree with you. I've cleared... one savage raid. That's the extent of my achievements, I think. I also play with all effects on. It looks awesome. However, I do have something to say about the music choice. Years ago a friend gifted me 100% Orange Juice on Steam and we played it for like... a weekend and never touched it again. I didn't think I'd ever hear music from it in one of my favorite youtuber's videos. Wildly bizarre given how unknown the game is to some people.

A grey parse is good in Ultimate. All clears are legitimate even with 8 people that cleared. The only non-legit is if you bought it.

As someone who does raid content, it's obnoxious at times for Chair to be so self-deprecating. A clear is a clear, no matter if you're MVP or dragged along. Ultimates in particular can't be cleared unless you KNOW the fight, there's no such thing as being carried through an ultimate clear unless someone else is behind the keyboard.

I have used the 2nd to last step Heavensward relic for Dark Knight for longer than I can remember now and no ultimate weapon is going to look better than it. Their effects are really tacky, and the fact they're always own rather than only on when drawn takes a lot of attention away from the rest of a glamour you may wear, often feeling like you're wearing it to show off rather than it improving the look of your character.

The very first ultimate I cleared was UCOB. And it was on GNB. So since I couldn't get a weapon for the job I cleared on, I've now made it a rule that I can NEVER get the weapon on the job I cleared with. Out of spite.

On my first clear of DSR, my inventory was full, so I kinda pulled this unintentionally. Honestly, I believe people should do whatever the fuck they want with your totems, clearing a fight doesn't mean much in terms of skill by itself, and I know a shit ton of legends who in my estimation, aren't great players. Ultimates are really more about time investment than skill, and even a pretty bad group can get through them eventually.

i must say since you mentioned logs a few times, i personally think that people who look at ultimate parses just for the % number are blind and have no idea what they talk about For my background, im a static lead since 2018, we cleared all ultimates, some multiple times, tea for all weapons and cleared all tiers on content mostly within the first month, and i think i never looked at someones ultimate parse % before when they applied. And also in general the parse % is stupid to look at because the group matters. I remember so many people applying with blue/purple parses and once they were in the static they got orange. The group matters and if the person even was in pf only before than ofc they gonna have shit parse ;;

I was watching when you were getting your Saus clear. I think there's a pretty weird stigma against people who get cleared by Saus and them. imo it's just simulating an environment of players that are consistent enough to get the fight done, and if you're just as consistent, then you deserve to kill it too. My friends and I did Saus for our first TOP clears, and then we immediately went back to help our other friends kill the fight, it doesn't take away from the achievements. I hope saus and then lose that negative stigma around their name for helping people clear and almost singlehandedly keeping the ultimate PF scene alive year round

I think ultimate is all about the clear. Parsing means jack shir because theres damage holding and other stuff you need to do to align mit and buffs. I find anyone who gatekeeps with parses in ultimates stupid. My ultimate clears are grey and green but im proud of them Grats on the clear
