I would find it too difficult to pick one album only from any year of the 1970's so here is My top 5 for 1977 in no particular order : - Steely Dan Aja, David Bowie Low, The Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks, Talking Heads Live in 77, Bob Marley Exodus.

Interesting that no Zeppelin album made the list. I am new to your channel, but given other videos I have watched I thought there would be at least 1 Zeppelin album included. Zeppelin IV, Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti are all hard rocking albums with many musical treasures. It could be argued that Zeppelin IV is one of the greatest hard rock albums of the 1970's.

It gets bad reviews for a reason. It's awful with admittedly the odd highlight. I really wouldn't care if I never heard it again. As for the comments on Final Frontier and Book Of Souls I couldn't disagree more. They are incredible albums. The good reviews for this garbage seem to be from 'newbie' fans who weren't around from the very beginning and were probably born in the 90s or started listening to them in the 90s. To each their own though... 😀

I showed " Plastic Hearts " on a group video and got some flack for it. But I think its a great album, and Miley has a fantastic voice i.m.o. Do you like the Robbie Williams " Swing " albums?. They are my favourites from him and deserve a decent vinyl release in my opinion. Metal is my favourite genre, but I can appreciate all music. Neil Young is another artist I enjoy, I have a pile of his stuff.

Great series! I'm always interested to experience other Maiden tastes. For me, the top 10 changes all the time. I would include No More Lies, which is not a popular choice, obviously! Alexander the Great and Hell on Earth are in there. Hallowed must be first and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son must also be there. These guys have so many bangers! You really can't go wrong.

Judas Be My Guide 11. Thin Line Between Love And Hate 10. Hell On Earth 9. Revelations 8. Drifter 7. For the Greater Good Of God 6. Sign Of The Cross 5. Face In The Sand 4. Alexander The Great 3. People make excuses for The X Factor album, and the excuse I hear the most is that the 90's were a dark time for metal because of grunge. I have to push back. Established 80's metal bands Metallica and Megadeth were making successful albums in the 90's. Tool made awesome albums in the 90's. Industrial metal bands Ministry and NIN made awesome albums in the 90's. Dream Theater and Savatage were making great prog metal albums in the 90's. In the 90's power metal pioneers Blind Guardian released Imaginations From the Other Side and Nightfall in Middle Earth. Pantera, Deftones and Korn all released great NuMetal albums in the 90's and Korn's Follow the Leader was very well received by metal fans. Iron Maiden made a bunch of missteps in the 90's and The X Factor and Virtual XI are not great albums. Just my thoughts.
@RustyDarlington12 күн бұрын
Completely agree my man. There are some very strong albums to have come out of the 90s. Especially in all the metal sub genres. But yeah bands like pantera managed to keep metal alive in the 90s and remind us all that not everything has to be brooding. Great comment!

Difficult because I do like a lot of genres and metal is just one of them: Songs From the Big Chair - Tears For Fears Gran Turismo - The Cardigans IV - Toto Gold - Abba (cheating a bit by having a greatest hits compilation) Can't Buy a Thrill - Steely Dan
