Coolest thing about the first two games was the environment changing as you progressed the days. Things like the Goolix, Mamuta, or Smokey Prog spawns in Pikmin 1, the Beedy Long Legs crashing into the Perplexing Pool in 2, or Sheer Grubs attacking structures you built really sold the world as being alive. Now enemies don't even respawn in levels leaving them empty husks devoid of anything resembling life, looking like dioramas of idyllic locations instead.

I think the only reasonable way to nerf purple pikmin is to reduce the number of them you can get before you obtain the purple onion

I could think of a way to impliment your idea about the wires. Hypothetically when a Yellow Pikmin gets thrown close enough to an outlet, they'll conduct the electricity until they're moved (either by whistle or enemies) from their spot. From there, the Yellow Pikmin gives off a tiny yet notable radius in which another Yellow can conduct. This allows the player to construct the 'wire' in whatever way they please, using more Yellows to expand the line. There would also be some skill involved as the player would need to consider the precise maximum distance Yellows can be away from each other whilst still conducting and how to make the straightest line in more complex puzzles (to save the amount of Pikmin needed to complete the wire and reintroduce the concept of aiming Pikmin (shocking, I know)). From here, the concept could go anywhere. Imagine completing entire circuit boards or using carriable batteries/fuses so the Yellows could walk around with an electrical current (reminisent of the first game's bomb rocks but electric). This could even have combat uses. The player could draw an enemy into a stun by throwing a Yellow at a nearby outlet and having the enemy try to eat the Yellow, thus getting stunned via shock.

The motion controls are actually way better in the first 2 games on switch compared to pikmin 3 deluxe because the movement can get so annoying at times with it constantly active, pikmin 4 uses this control style and I really like it, I should use it next time I play the first 2 games

i might be weird but games like pikmin 2 should stay as there older appearance with of course upgrading the resolution by changing a game graphics by the extremes often makes me feel like its wrong somehow

If you play using the mclassic on dock mode it makes the game look absolutely perfect! All jaggies are gone and the colors pop even more.

That's neat you noticed the whistle changes. I played a TON of Pikmin when it was released, but didn't play it until several years ago before the Switch release. The game felt more responsive somehow, but I really couldn't put my finger on how.

In the game olimar calls the planet pnf 404 which is from pikmin 3 so it had to have happened during or after pikmin 3
