Yeah, the only major "drawback" of the game for me is the multiplayer. I feel like they could have easily just had a second captain spawn in for Player 2. I won't go into the ins and outs of game balance and such unless you want me too, lol. But I think it would be fairly easy to balance that idea out for the game. And that's before you bring up the fact you can move the Onion and Ship, plus the pikmin limit. I think the only thing that would be hard to balance out is the Pikmin limitations. I don't really have a solution for that. I'm also hoping MIssion Mode comes back in some way. I would love it to be the same Collect Treasure and Defeat Enemies modes, but it returning in any form would be aweosme. If that's not in the game, that's another huge loss. I'm also hoping Bingo Battle will return, btu I'm not expecting it to. Dandori Battles seem to replace them. I think those two are different enough to have both, and I am going to be bummed if Bingo Battles don't return. But that's a more understandable decision. Maybe they could do it as DLC? Advertise it as a new style of Dandori or something

@@carnage0685 It makes for a lot more strategy. The maps are designed around that feature, among other things. With being able to move your base, it's very easy to swap out Pikmin if you need them. Not to mention the QoL feature of going in and out of caves. It makes gameplay more simple, in a good way. It's not overwhelming to have all 7 types on the field. It's easier to switch between them and manage overall. I think people are so quick to think this is a hard limitation (less Pikmin? This sucks! Bad game!!!), instead of looking at how that mechanic works with the deisgn of this game, which is different than previous entries. Theoretically, if we had another "Pikmin 3", and implemented the 3 Pikmin type limit, it would not work in that game. Because the maps are not desigend around that mechanic, and there's not other mechanics to work in tangent with that and balance everything out

i see but i still don't like it. I'm glad i can transfer my progress from the demo cause i don't see myself replaying 4 as much as the other ones. but it's still a very good game

@@LuckyOwI777 played it. at first the 3 type limit was okay, but once i started getting about 80-100 Pikmin, the three type limit REALLY started to show. I don't want 33 Purples, 33 Whites, and 34 Yellows. I just want 25 of them + 25 Blues. I don't need 33 Purples for anything. It would have been really nice if you could just upgrade to four, and that would be it. I feel like they got the number wrong.

the one thing i think is lacking in the piklopedia is the descriptions. i liked olimars more scientific approach to descroibing the creatures behaviors and patterns, i get kinda tired of the new guy just gushing over everything and calling every monster cute. im glad hes happy i guess but thats not very informative.

schnauz actually has some interesting lore, the mama doll head, empty vase, refreshing goo, and one other treasure that I can't remember the name of so just find it for yourself, describes how as a child, he was in a wealthy family, and got big presents, but even so he felt sort of empty, until he met his "love" then his wife? crush? girlfriend? well whoever his love was possibly drowned as described in the refreshing goo's dialogue. Its crazy how they gave such a minor character such deep lore...

Most people would use it as a meme or “it’s just a” blank, though I think it be cool to expand our character in this way. Maybe your friends can receive your entries and the other way around.

Not directly related but in Pikmin 4 the new characters are named after dog breeds as you point out but in the recent direct's trailer we see a member of the Rescue Corps named Yonny and I can't figure out what dog breed his name's supposed to reference

I think it would be pretty awesome if Pikmin 5 was an Openworld Pikmin, where you have to take your Pikmin away just before sunset and then get the glowing Pikmins and then repeat the sequence over and over again. But if you then want to change the area, you can do that at any time, but the time of day remains the same

One thing I will say about Pikmin 4's Piklopedia is that it's very interactive. However...description/note-wise is the only thing it lacks for a better word. But we don't have the full picture yet until next week. But I do enjoy dropping bomb rocks on Scorchcakes. Especially the way it's death animation is like.

Forgot to mention that some items in the treasure examine mode are even interactive. Like the Gameboy. You can open and close the lid. It even sounds like it does irl, cuz i have the same colored one right next to me. Though the lid doesn't open up to how much it does irl which is pretty annoying.

Not to be mean...but isn't it kind of obvious? If you don't have him, you didn't find and rescue him yet. You have the flower guy, becasue you found and rescued him. If you want the piklopedia guy, you have to find and rescue him. I don't know what cave he's in, but it should be easy to look up

I replayed the demo multiple times and I found out that the castaways are always unlocked in the same order. So no matter what cave you do first you will always find the scientist then the next castaway you find will always be Shnauz. Dalmo the piklopedia guy will always be the fifth castaway you find in regular caves or in other words you unlock the piklopedia guy as the last cave castaway in the demo.
