This makes me wish there was more Lego stuff in VRChat. Like I saw a video of a VRChat map of L1 and i've seen VRChat models of the characters from Ninjago and Monkie Kid. I know VRChat can get a bit crazy and sometimes rude like swearing and stuff but I don't care! I'd die of happiness to see Basil or Cedric in VRChat.

Actually, I've always had this idea since I was a kid, when I was a maniac for LEGOs. Skateboarding games were all the rage back in the day thanks to Tony Hawk and everyone wanted their piece of the pie, it seemed strange to me that LEGO never joined this trend, given that they had already released games about past trends like racing, with LEGO Racers, or sports, with Soccer Mania, it would have been a natural move for them to create a skateboarding game, the closest they came to this was LEGO Island. I always imagined a Tony Hawk type LEGO game where you skate in different themed worlds, city, pirates, castle, dino island, space, etc, And of course, classic characters like Johnny Thunder would have their cameos. I have a sheet of paper with my whole concept I had back in the day written, the characters, the plot, the worlds, the missions, even a soundtrack (full of Pop Punk and Ska, ofc), I like to think that there's an alternative reality where this was a thing.

@@Alfre-Durst That’s amazing! Would have been a really cool game. I think LEGO tried to do something with this idea with Xtreme Stunts. There you can actually do tricks. Not as advanced as Tony Hawk unfortunately.

Johnny officially hates scorpions according to a US Lego Mania Magazine and the old Lego Racers website after some scorpions used his backpack as nest while he was wearing it. Yeah make sure he never sees the Scorpion Tribe from Chima.

Funny story of mine: I played Creator Knights Kingdom before Lego Racers so when I first played Racers I thought the Royal Knights Raceway track was based on Knights Kingdom 1 because they have a similar emblem with the same lion head wearing a crown and the Royal King (or King Richard whatever you wanna call him) was a younger King Leo. Yep this was back before I started doing proper research on all the older themes.

@@StudframeAnimations Cedric just hiding somewhere on the map like up a tree or something😆 BTW since I played CKK first Cedric was the first Lego character (and villain) I took an immediate liking to so he was my number 1 favourite Lego character for some time. But then when I played Racers he was pushed down to second favourite by Basil. Although I still consider Cedric my favourite Lego villain because I don't really see Basil as a straight up villain because of reasons in the Fright Knights lore. While Cedric is obviously and officially a villain (even though I don't think he's completely evil). The reason I like Basil slightly more then Cedric is because Cedric has a layer of comedy to him as shown in CKK and he does seem to forget common sense. Basil on the other hand he looks like he takes no nonsense and is smart considering how he goes for and uses the stronger power ups in Racers, he wouldn't make a silly mistake like Cedric. Basil would basically have Cedric for breakfast.

@@StudframeAnimations I found Ogel kind of to be meh to be honest. Like he does have a few funny moments and there's this whole thing about he's the descendent of Vladek from Knights Kingdom 2 but other then that I found him to be kind of.....boring. He just doesn't really stand out to me. Oh boy I am gonna get a load of hate comments just for saying that. Also there are a couple of Lego villains that don't originate from games that I like. Cedric technically counts as one of these because both CKK and the KK1 sets came out in 2000 but i'm not sure if the game came out first before the sets or both the sets and game were released at the same time on the same month and day.

Yes! Radium and Glacia are just sets, so that's easy. However the other bosses require a lot more creativity to get right. Quite a lot of parts don't exist in real life, but I'll do my best. 😃

Joking aside, I just love it! Your step by step builds give me a new appreciation for the game vehicles, as they were just prerendered props in the game. I know Lego Stunt Rally gives fewer views than the other games, but I appreciate your work just the same. 10/10 per usual!

I've recently read in a Lego games discord of die hard fans that work on unraveling pieces of cut out tracks that this used to be a shortcut in earlier versions of the game. It got cut out. There's some KZbin videos that show other maps with cut out shortcuts where you still can see powerup bricks behind walls and rocks in the retail version, suggesting that shortcuts used to be there.

@@jonbedet Yes, the easiest one to spot is in the fright nights map. That shortcut would have been very interesting to use. It was probably the right call to remove it, but I still wonder how it would effect the gameplay. 😜

I so badly wish they would remake this game already. Using the newer modern versions of the characters well the ones we've gotten so far like Redbeard, Johnny, Basil. Even Rocket Racer got a newer design in the Lego City Stuntz sets (although i'm not sure if its supposed to be the exact same Rocket from the game cuz the face looks rather different)

@@robonaught Would love to see a remake. But LEGO probably won’t do it because most of themes in the game are no longer in production and LEGO doesn’t have as many in-house themes to fill a game. 😭

@@StudframeAnimations Lego Legacy Heroes Unboxed (which came out in 2020) is full of characters (including some of the characters who appear in this game) from themes that are no longer in production so I don't think its impossible to make a remake of Racers (or another new Lego crossover type of game in general) featuring characters from discontinued themes. Like I said at least some of these old characters have been brought back with a modern updated look so its not like they've been totally forgotten about. Heck Johnny and Pepper appear in the new recent Lego Fortnite game.

@@robonaught I haven't played that game so I wasn't aware. It would be so awesome if they made a remaster! There are already quite a few fan made LEGO Racers remastered projects going. But no one has actually finished it, as far as I know. I think that our chances of seeing a new LEGO Racers game lies in fan made projects.

@@StudframeAnimations Yeah it is rather weird. Also for some strange reason the AI controlled versions of the racers use the wrong voice clips. Like for example Redbeard uses Johnny's voice clips while Johnny uses Redbeard's voice clips. However actually playing with the character's heads via the Build option they use the correct voice clips.

I never noticed this, but Barney's Dragster here is actually SHORTER than the model its based off of, 6714 Rocket Dragster! Odd however that the Game omits part of the motor assembly, and adds the double slope 2x2 on top of the front wheels. I can assume that they left the 2x3 w/ hole to cut back on needless polygons though, since there's no need for the release assembly in game.

@@StudframeAnimations I'd argue Basil is more iconic then Cedric. People still remember Basil because of Lego Racers and the Fright Knights theme in general. Combined with him making a modern comeback as a collectable minifig (there's also him being in Lego Legacy Heroes Unboxed but nobody seems to talk much about this game). Cedric on the other hand sadly has fallen under the radar for most people. He's mainly overshadowed by Vladek from Knights Kingdom 2. Most people either forgot Knights Kingdom 1 (and Creator KK) even existed and those that do it wasn't the most well received or liked theme. The deal he's not been brought back in any modern way doesn't help (though i'm hoping that will change soon because of that Castle faction vote). Yeah he does appear in Lego Soccer/Football Mania and Lego Island 2 (which I always found his portrayal weird there). But LI2 isn't the most well liked Lego game, and I don't see many people talk about Soccer/Football Mania (I commonly play as Cedric's team)

@@robonaught I love the idea of giving Cedric more screen time. I actually quite liked his appearance in LEGO Island 2. Creator Knight’s Kingdom does display his character a bit better. He always comes up with interesting new tactics to take over the Castle but he and his team are often too clumsy to make it work. Let’s hope that the vote will give LEGO enough motivation the bring the Bulls back to the modern times. 😁
