my understanding is that : Generated, origine is Boundry box and 0-1 go to the other corner of the object and represent one Unit of scale.(ideal image Texturing ) Object, origine is origine of Object pointer, 0-1 to a a corner eventually so the Scale is very different.( ideal procedural texture) am I right with that ? thank you :)
@HelloHiHola10 ай бұрын
If everything is scaled correctly mapping to the object will scale textures to blender units. If everything is scaled correctly OR NOT, using generated mapping will scale textures to the object's bounding box. The object's bounding box will always have a 000 (xyz) origin and always have a maximum extent of xyz that equals 111. A bounding box will never have a negative measurement (it doesn't exist before it exists); object mapping can have a negative measurement because the Pivot Point (000 origin) CAN BE placed anywhere. I think you and I are saying the same thing but your terminology might have thrown me off.

Either something changed in how the particle system works in the last 5 years, or my specific object was just weird, but basically I only needed to do the rotation in Edit mode and not do the reverse rotation in Object mode and it still worked as it should. The rest of the video is spot on, though. Greatly appreciated!

It's been a while but if I remember correctly it's a two-step process. The png files are just part 1 - after the gif animation is put together the program goes back and deletes the PNGs

Thank you so much for this, I know I'm a little late to the game, but it helped greatly. Only issue I'm having (using blender 3.5) - is that I'm not getting the variation in the lit tiles and the unlit tiles like in your tutorial. Is there perhaps something I missed that you might know about? My node graph is identical to the one in your video. Thanks again!

Actually you can also create reference image and parent (link) it to the camera. So the image always perpendicular to the camera view. And then press "N" - View - Camera to View, so you rotate the camera like in perspective mode, and adjust the view manually.
@HelloHiHola Жыл бұрын
The models with the material projected on to them from the camera's povvia fSpy's trick behavior would then fail. This isn't just a reference image. It's material used potentially by multiple objects.

I can only say what's already in the video but in edit mode press S to scale and the texture will behave as you see. 😊 the texture coordinates are set to object. Thats important.

It seems Blender's particle system relies on tangents rather than normals of a surface you 're working on, giving users confusion as to why their particles are not oriented right.

@@BlenderFun_ I'm planning a return, a series 2 in a way, but left because following my artistic impulses that didn't follow popular trends put an existential rattle in my head. i.e. "why make this bone tutorial when everybody is moving to geometry nodes?" I also relocated to another country which took most of my time this past year! But I'm taking the positive feedback from viewers like you and doing away with my worry about popularity so I can experience finishing some small projects and share them about once a month. I hope you also find my new approach fulfilling! Your interest goes a long way towards motivating me 🖖

@@HelloHiHola well... i am sure you saw it, but the most popular tutorial with over 20 Mio views on yt is NOT about geometry nodes but about rigging from Polyfjord....so no, not everybody is making geometry nodes (although i do it myself too and i like it but i still think that animation nodes is still more powerful because it's more open, you can build your own nodes and even more...). Yes, i subscribed you because you have lots of talent in my eyes. There are lot of great artists out there - but most of them cannot teach. A few can teach - but some of their voices can make you sick ;) other make you sleep ;) others are too dry ...so you have all the 3 things - i think - so it would be really a pity if you would stop this. And besides that i really love your humor! But since i am making tutorials myself i know it's hard and it's really hard getting followers...but ....never give up! ;) Good luck!!!

Backrooms here I come. Seriously though, thanks for this. I was trying to figure out how to do this and just struggling so hard. Tried modeling an intricate drop ceiling light and duplicating it a bunch of times over, but that just became a pain in the ass, trying to get the geometry right to do boolean modifiers in the ceiling to allow space for each light. I knew there had to be an easier way!
