With Blender 3.6 the addon seems to be working fine, I use this addon every day to convert PNG image sequences into GIF

hello.. i have a problem .. the PNG folder is created but the GIF file is not created.. i thought it may take some times to convert the PNG files to GIF but it never happened... do u have any idea what should i do? i am using blender 2.82a

Although inconvenient, can you test with fewer total frames (shorter gif) - this might be like a problem I had too...

HelloHiHola Same problem here. I tried to export .gif with only 5 frames but the file of .png frame appeared instead but the .gif file is missing. The frame size is 1440*1080px. Not sure why it doesn’t work.

You have to wait First png then gif then it is added together. Blender 3.0 works.

I cant convert it into a gif, it just stops after it's done rendering, it just makes a black box on my cursor and nothing happens.

have you explored much more on what the frame limit could be? what was the longest animation you were able to make into a gif?

Very awkward for me - broken computer won't run Blender. Prior, I hadn't found that sweetspot in length nor tracked down any help from the Bligify maker. Sorry.

@@HelloHiHola all good, found out that most longer gifs have issues posting to various platforms, in my case bligify was certainly not the bottleneck

it doesn't make sense if you want long animated gifs. But maybe the longest is 8 secs in order to properly use on the web. If you want more than that, you should not use gifs instead but mp4.

Does it works with Cycles rendering... Personally, the whole folder disappears at the end of the render... I don’t know why...

It exports PNG files sequence instead of one GIF image. Could you please explain how to get one gif file? Thanks

I checked it out soon as I could - seems new Blender won't play nice without explicit placement of gifsicle and imagemagick which ARE shipped with the 15MB big "bligify_windows.zip." (Get that, then copy/paste) Typical operation creates the folder of png's, then coverts them and deletes the folder. Without the two exe files, only that folder and its contents are created.

2.8 to 2.9 was a big jump but there should be some error code you could reference on forums for any assistance. I'm afraid I can't do much else at this point.

Hi, thanks for the video. I have been doing GIFs using Dimension and Photoshop but I want to now use Blender instead of photoshop. Do u have any videos on how to do a 3D GIF with a rotating 3d object? I can tell its going to be simple but just curious if you've Done one.

I haven't but it would be elementary. There's a school of practice on Twitter with folks making "hologram" animations - 3D objects in 80's neon colors looping through some attractive cycles.

It's been a while but if I remember correctly it's a two-step process. The png files are just part 1 - after the gif animation is put together the program goes back and deletes the PNGs

No sweat! Shift + Grave (so I've heard it called) is that button, Tilda, maybe, top-left beneath the Escape key typically on standard Windows keyboards.It's the new "Fly" method enabling WASD controls.
