Vanni is not your general run of the mill book. It is like a rough unpolished gem waiting to be discovered. It evokes a lot of different emotions in a reader.

Well, a lot of sensitive stuff like mass shooting and general apathy for human life is present in the novel, so i wouldn't recommend it for children....

Hi, have you come across the Compact Tintin edition? (Matching red colour set of 8)

Yes. Not a very big fan though. The compact size reduces readability a little. Especially since I have grown up reading Tintin in the usual size. A friend of mine loves them though. So it is really a matter of personal preference.... I personally got the standard editions (more so since I wanted the Bengali versions as the translation is fabulous, and that is available only in the standard editions)
