There have been many people who've caught fire due to ether, this could easily explain why fire and the beasts aren't friends and also why some beasts are already on fire when you fight them such as Laurence. BSB may have "turned" into a beast because he could no longer white nuckle sobriety and relapsed thus turned to the "blood" starved beast. Definitely think Charred Thermos is 100% correct with most if not all of the theories he shares on Bloodborne.

hello ! any chance you could tell me how the four messenger bodies stand 17:26 relative to the in-game cardinal directions ? am doing a similar dissection of Elden lore and i have a hypothesis involving this data and you would really help me out ! 😹🫣💜 because i see links across the narratives. am also noticing 3 (three ?) bells on top of the lamp, do they move/wiggle or are they fixed in position ? thank youuu, should u still see this and care 🔮🦠🪩✂️

I’m halfway through and starting to think, The Great Ones are all specific components of the body affecting by usage of chloroform. The fear and paranoia of choking and losing sight. The mind losing it and then cast into darkness. The throat and lungs burning…

What about Ludwig’s visual appearance? As it is 100% inspired and almost identical to the horse from Berserk. Does it add any significance to his symbolism? Or does it connect to the overall themes of this analysis?

Really cool analysis, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! I think this pretty much covers like, 1/2 of the game's themes and meanings, which is amazing for a reading this specific! (The other half being the just-as-clear religious oppression of women/birthing/motherly/menstrual stuff)

DO NOT, I repat do not! dare to delete this series of videos from youtube. I beg you. This is very important, not only for bloodborne lore, but it’s a fantastic example of how culture perpetuates itself throught different mediums. You did a very good job at documenting the process. I am proud of you and I thank you for your effort ❤ Also: I enjoyed your presentstion style! It’s refreshing.

The sound you hear when you select something in the menu sounds a lot like a chisel being hit by a hammer. I always imagined a bone chisel being hit by a hammer to break a bone.

Your videos are like the healing blood: addictive and intoxicating. They also give so much insight i feel tingling in my brain. I might be growing eyes in it. All Bb puns aside, i cant believe there was such a compleye and concrete layer underlying the already engrossing ones in the game. I feel I owe you.

As I understand it, the idea was that the child sacrificed at the altar was the child of blood, ie the child of queen Annalise, but they removed that from the item description on the day one patch. If you ask me, the child of Kos was dissected on-site when they visited the fishing village long ago. The cord that fake Iosefka has is probably the childs, since it mentions Willem specifically. About how it ended up with her, I have no clue.

Interesting theory but as I understand Laurence was part of forming the healing church? It doesn't make sense that Laurence would be considered a vicar if he wasn't part of the church. I really liked your insights but it doesn't fit with the main plot. I haven't thought about the connection with dissection/doctors/body snatchers and Bloodborne. That part I can totally agree on.

Wow. As much as I disagree with some of your claims throughout the series or think that there's not a of evidence when you see robust evidence, this closing chapter was spectacular. It's very interesting to think about Bloodborne from the lenses of anatomy students, cadaver dissection and medicine. And the "faithful hath been your warfare" at the end is VERY important, did you leave it to the very end of the series on purpose?

My god, I feel enlightened after watching this. Just listening to the analysis makes me feel smarter -already a proud graduate of the Victorian Royal Hospital hahaha. Because of my love for the gothic vibe with unique bloodlines, plus corpses, coffins, hunting elder gods, blood sacrifices, cryptic prose-like narratives, and the incredibly stylish hunter outfits, I specifically bought a PS5 to dive into this world. While playing, I got wrecked by mobs, werewolves, and mini-bosses, but as I gradually leveled up, I started loving the thrill of parrying + visceral attacks, the risk-and-reward gamble, and the satisfaction of regaining health through aggressive combat. But after watching the video, I got chills down my spine. Fantasy worlds are intriguing, sure, but when reality is far crueler and more authentic than fiction, everything suddenly feels heavier. At that moment, I finally understood why the mighty Lady Maria ultimately chose to take her own life. If you asked the in-game me, there wouldn’t be a shred of hesitation-I’d grab my saw cleaver and carve through everything on Yharnam’s streets, showing the monsters what a real monster looks like. But, like in Ender’s Game, when you realize it’s not just simulated images on a screen, the brutal, savage history of reality feels like an open wound, with blood slowly seeping out. I can almost imagine it now: in the sticky, blood-reeking fishing hamlet, under the pale, eerie moonlight, Maria suddenly awakens, looking at the mutated villagers fallen among the corpses of fish, the dead infant Great One, and the hunters driven to madness by their bloodlust. She cries out in horror, “Dear heavens, what have we done?!” Worse than a nightmare is the realization that in the dream, only you are awake.

Bloodborne is my favorite video game of all time: I have watched copious amounts of lore analysis videos, read essay after essay, and have consumed as much as I can about this game. Never have I come across anyone who has come to the same conclusions you have, and with such sound and solid research. Your videos are incredible, because I feel like I am learning about this game for the first time all over again. Thank you for all of the research and deep digging you have done, because your videos are full of fresh perspectives and new conclusions. Amazing work! ☺️

Laurence founded the healing Church so blood healing was already a thing so it can't be that the healing blood was derived from his corpse because it already existed as had the healing Church. Why he was in the tomb and got lost is the question, he was later found and brought back. Everything else is really good it just couldn't be that the healing blood first came from there as the Healing Church was founded with the First Vicar being Laurence, kinda hard to having a healing Church when you're not doing any healing.

Love this series Something that might interest you is that medieval anatomy illustrations were quite superstitious in nature. They were designed to show which parts of the human body corresponded to the 12 zodiac signs so that the medical doctor could do astrological calculations and determine which parts were "safe" for bloodletting at any given phase of the moon. Something else that you might be interested to know is that FromSoft has made a habit out of using astrology references in their games. 12 zodiac signs, 12 numbers on a clock, 14 Caryll Runes associated with Great Ones on the border of the Astral clock at asymmetrical intervals beyond 12 void circles.

I wonder if one of the conceits of Mergo's Wet Nurse is that she's invisible for the same reason that the Amygdala's were invisible: insight not high enough but in this case you'd need over 99 for Mergo's Wet Nurse. Like the interstitium which is the fluid filled space in between the organs of the body and would have escaped notice or classification during dissection, because its purpose is only possible to see on a microscopic level (and even somewhat escaped notice by microscope as usually tissue samples would be dehydrated before examination).

Controversially, I speculate that the centre of the "Eye" rune is closer to depicting the larynx. The Moon Rune could otherwise be a puncture wound (what preceeds the "body drained of blood") or depicting an eye that has been slashed thtough vertically. The vertical lines of the lake rune somewhat resemble the ribcage of the Moon Presence.
