New, casual player here - I just started playing the game about 1.5 months or so ago, so it is a bit jarring/disheartening to see so many people talk about how the game is dying. Definitely makes me feel like I missed the boat, haha. I mainly consume content related to the game on KZbin though (not Reddit) but the sentiment is the same everywhere. That being said I HAVE been having a lot of fun with the game overall. Like you mentioned in the video though a majority of the games have been against bots which skews my perspective, though I’ve recently started matching against a lot more human opponents. There have definitely been a few “if I just had THIS card this deck would be a lot better…” moments, but oddly enough I’m enjoying just making use of the cards I have to try and make the best deck I can. I’m sure my perspective will change as time goes on but at least the early game experience is still fun overall. That being said I think I got spoiled since I started playing when High Voltage first became a thing; I’ve just been avoiding Deadpool’s Diner 😭 I suspect I’ll probably keep enjoying the game going forward, but I’m not taking it too seriously so maybe that perspective is helping me out. Admittedly I also like the RNG aspect of the game as well as I think things might get a bit too clear-cut if it was 100% strategy, but I’m sure as I hit higher levels that perspective may change haha.

very new player, only been at snap for a few months and very glad to see that people agree that card acquisition is absurdly difficult to keep up with. especially as someone who doesn't have the extra income to spend on snap, the game has felt horrible. the people sticking around to play are MUCH higher CL than me, so i get steamrolled by players with strong meta decks while i struggle to get any series 4 or 5 cards at all. i feel so sorry for all your wallets out there, i cant begin to imagine how much you'd have to drop for a good deck.

I use to really like this game and play a lot. It’s just not the fun anymore. I feel when I go into conquest 9 out of 10 I get matched up against the perfect counter for my deck.

Can´t watch these videos of Snap as everyone is playing with cards that I don´t have. For example discard-deck is a no-go as I´m missing both Scorn and Proxima. They are not in spotlight even this year and even if they were -> I´d draw some duplicate cards with my keys and get a shitty 1000 tokens as a luck you from the game. Playing less and less plus watching less youtube/twitch about the game (well can´t as content creators are playing less and less too). This will end up to that after 6M it´s Sizer, KMBest and Dera playing every other game against each other and other games against bots. Their fix for card acquisition will probably be that you get 1100 tokens if you use a key and draw a card that you´ve owned for over a year or smth..

Nina senpai, Gorr worth the token or not? He's super strong in negative deck. If negative draw early in game, you're done...

Marvel Snap IS getting stale. The meta changes every week with the new card. Cards need to not be so OP and balanced….bit they don’t make money of its balanced so it never will be. I think they need more casual/social game modes. trying to hit infinite every season is so hard if you do t spend $$$.

Interesting to hear your thoughts on the game, Nina. Sad to hear that you’re not enjoying the game as much anymore, as I’ve always enjoyed watching your videos and streams, but I get it. I’ve been playing consistently for 2 years now. I’m still playing every day, but a lot a lot less than I was - just to earn my achievements and alliance tasks. I’ve stopped buying the season pass the last few months and can’t see myself dropping the game completely in the future. But that’s fine. I got 2 years out of it and it’s the first mobile game that I can say that about.

with marvel ravel I think I will say goodbye to snap, but Snap in mobile still fun while waiting foe thing or take short break or even in work place's bathroom

Already shifted to Pokemon pocket which iam currently have much fun playing an venasaur ex and Charizard ultra ex decks(got lucky in both wonder pick and packs and got both ex early) problem with snap is card acquisition has pretty much been bad for a year now now no update on that other than saying there working on it and yet they have time to make stuff the collector's vault and premium pass plus which nobody asked for like it is clear at this point the just want to milk the game as much and for as long as they can the series drops proves it further stuff like jeff, dark hawk etc remains while mostly trash cards are dropped just staying till dec to try out doom2099 after which will probably uninstall snap which sucks cause I actually enjoyed the game

The RNG Factor is a really huge reason most people are leaving the game. You don't feel victorious when you win, you just got luckier. And when you lose, it feels like the game is against you. I miss when it involved actual skill and practice to climb ladder. Made you feel more accomplished. And don't even get me started on DPD and Card Acquisition. Either way, will follow and enjoy your content no matter what game you play, so excited to see where this journey leads you next o/

Btw ... also I am not spending in marvel snap for a while but guess who has all the 226 cards in pokemon ....

Agreed, I’m not spending money, once my keys are done, I’m gone. Card acquisition, series drops, balance, all need to be addressed. The time spent in game doesn’t feel rewarding.

Hearing the same thing from multiple content creators tells me the game is likely cooked. I'm F2P, I'm enjoying it for what it is as I don't care if I get to infinite. I just enjoy building decks and seeing what happens. I get, just like mobile game, I can never be "meta" for long as game devs try their hardest to make sure F2P decks cannot be top tier. And, just because, had to laugh when you yelled, "I thought he would routinely be 15 or 16, but he's humongous!" That is, well... exactly what she said.

Please don't stop making Marvel Snap videos. Even if you become a ftp player that many people would appreciate. You are my favorite streamer and this is the only game I play. The game play is by far better than Pokémon even if the card acquisition is worse.

I've seen so many takes on the card acquisition and series drops issue and they all kinda touch on the same themes and feelings. The amalgamation of everything I've read in my mind boils down to a few key points: 1. They need to make money somehow on the game 2. The current plan of dumping a new card into series 5 every week combined with the spotlight system just doesn't work for most players 3. Players are very frustrated by their vague communications about improvements being worked on but unable to be discussed. 4. A bunch of the biggest content creators are concerned about their income staying steady because of how inaccessible the game is to new players so viewership can only go down resulting in several of the biggest creators in the game (you, KM Best, Hoogland, Dekkster, Cozy, and Regis) all making separate channels or repurposing existing channels for another game 5. The most common comments in Snap videos are players commenting on not having multiple cards in the deck 6. They need to find a way to lure back lapsed players because once you miss some time in the game going back feels hopeless 7. They need a solution that satisfies both their players and investors and need it quickly but also need it to be a well thought out solution that actually addresses player concerns because they're running out of time and patience to tell players to just wait.

for me its the spotlight release makes it hard to get new card, they said its easier but its not, we didnt get gold anymore to buy token or credits, getting less token and they removing gold from conquest as well is pretty big hit for f2p, with token at least i get a new card i need every few week, but with spotlight i cant even get card i needed

I feel the same the Devs seem to be acting in bad faith in my opinion. The game has becoming more predatory with their pricing and gacha mechanics. DD and series drops was the final nail in the coffin for me. I will no longer be supporting the game financially.

playing since s1, almost hiting infit all of them "almost", i dont have darkhawk, its fuking crazy XD. 736h in steam (i play on movile to). I have lucky whit keys and still whit all this luck imposible to keep as only season pass buys.

I agree with everything you said in your video, I really enjoy the artwork on the cards and love seeing all the variants but I rarely have fun playing the game anymore. Deadpool’s diner just sucks to lose all your bubs in one match and have to wait, really makes me sad seeing the state of snap now.

I'm f2p but chill players so I play when I want while collecting keys! Almost hitting infinite but not a priority! So I don't mind if I don't hit it. I just play to kill time but enjoy new cards if I get them. {I have 3 keys rn after getting gorr (took 3 keys)}

My issue is whilst Cap America and Hulk and other iconic characters are rubbish and unplayable - whilst second rate marvel characters like Hit Monkey, Sage, Mocking Bird etc are so powerful and are series 5 - The balance is way off

When I want to chill I play Pokemon. One or two games, and I'm fine and happy. Snap is just a continuous frustration, when it's not because of Arishem it's because some of the billions counters that exist in the game, or the featured location, or the new broken card that everyone is playing, or totally match defining locations RNG. I don't know how they can save the game, they just buried themselves week after week in the last year.

Arishem imo has to be one of the most damaging cards to the meta that has ever existed. I know that usually people say this about cards but I truly do not know why Special Dinner seems so committed to repeating the same discount metas over and over and over. you'd think loki would have taught us something. i don't really know what the solution is, but being able to outpace your oppoenent so vastly while also having a completely unpredictable deck is the WORST to play against

I have no issues with the game. I'm still having a lot of fun. I have no issues keeping up with all the cards just with the season pass. I skip maybe 1 card a season, but currently have 8 keys after i got Gorr today. I wish Pokemon Pocket was fun for me. I find it boring and monotonous.

I feel the same Nina, fuck Arishem and the monetization, sad fact is that they started adding much more 1200 gold variants and the albums are also focused now around them, 1st few albums were very achievable even for f2p players, now i feel all they care about is money. Sure we got deadpool diner which is imo the best thing in snap in past year, but that isnt enough.

I've been playing Snap since it came out, and tbh I feel the same way, Today I wanted Gorr, I only had 2 keys bc the last week I wasted 4 of my keys for the new card. Now I have no keys and no Gorr, and this happens over and over and over again and I'm so done, I can't even imagine how a new player must feel.

1:30 pokemon pocket is the way to go ngl i'v recently returned to snap for surter but now that pocket exists in my life i really don't enjoy snap as i did in the past I used to always grind to top 500 but now i just go to pocket after i do my dailys

Well I am still loving Marvel Snap even do changes haven’t happened and last season was my favorite season mostly because I was able to reach infinite for the first time it felt awesome. I been buying mostly the season pass but if there is a bundle that I really like the variant and I can afford it I will buy it. The last bundle I bought was the Toonpool Deadpool. I try playing Pokemon Pocket byt I don’t find entertaining in my opinion battle feel doll at least for me and gacha card system is so depressing when opening packs or trying your luck on Wonder trade. The SNAP downfall start when they change the series drop schedule, with lame excuse. Also intentionally holding the "meta" card in higher series for you know why. It's really sad to see how a great game driven by greed, and I really surprised this happened quite fast, on the year 2 !!. For now I'm so ready to leave the game but I'll stick around, until their next series drop (I somehow still have hope, and still want to give them last chance).

A simple fix for the game would be to move the following 6 cards into series 3 that will support the FTP players existing decks and help them be competitive 1. High Ev (archetype) 2. Thanos (archetype) 3. Arishem (archetype) 4. MODOK (support Discard) 5. Knull or Nimrod (support Destroy) 6. Caiera (support zoo, patriot, bounce etc.) Then the game will be fun for everyone. All other series 4 and 5 cards are cream on top, but those 6/7 will change the experience for new and returning players.

Ftp player since global launch here. How do we keep up? We skip new cards week after week and hope the card wont have a big impact. Look, i think i m gonnna skip all December new cards because the spotlights fillers are just garbage. It s not just worth it.

I'll miss you if you go, and I'll miss the game if it fully dies, and I just don't enjoy the gameplay of pokemon so I'm just bummed overall.
