Charles, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry if you feel misled in some way if you did. I give a basic percentage from what it costs to make this and what you can sell it for. To pretend that I would know what your electric bill, heating, fuel, how or where you would sell this so whether there is a shipping cost or where you would ship from or where you would ship to. And how much you would like to pay yourself would be crazy for me to try and do. That would probably be more like a financial channel that we would want to visit, or possibly review with a CPA which I am neither. But I do appreciate the helpful comment that you left. I hope you have a great day.

I am still working and developing how the videos are made in what order I do everything in and what works best for the channel. As of now if you click on a video look at it and decide nope it hurts the channel. Bare with me. I am trying to work out the details. I promise it will get better. With your request is there any specific reason that you'd like to see the projects at the beginning of the video and not want to watch to see what they are. I like the feedback I just need to know more. Please let me know.
@matchstickdesignco3 күн бұрын
@@Patriotsglow To answer your question as to WHY someone would want to see the finished project at the beginning. . . Think about it for a second. Would you rent a video that just had a blank cover, with a caption that reads "There's an awesome movie on this tape!" (dating myself here)? No, you wouldn't. Maybe you're building a napkin holder, and I have zero interest in napkin holders. In that case, I'd be pretty irritated to find out that I just wasted 15 minutes watching you build something that doesn't interest me, which increases the likelihood that I would never watch another video of yours.
@Patriotsglow3 күн бұрын
@@matchstickdesignco I don’t show the finished project at the start of my videos because it is like renting a movie-if they showed you the ending in the first scene, it would take all the fun and excitement out of the experience. Part of the joy in woodworking (and in storytelling) is watching the process unfold, seeing the challenges, and appreciating how it all comes together. I want my videos to be a journey, where you feel the same satisfaction I do when the project is finally complete. It’s about the story, not just the result. I do apologize if I wasted your time and you didn't like the video. I am trying to build a good community that we can all grow in. I hope I don't lose you as a viewer, but if someone doesn't like the content that I am changing almost every video to make it better for everyone then there's nothing I can do about it. I do appreciate your input that is why I'm having the discussion and trying to see fully from your point of view. Thank you for letting me know. Please be kind and rewind. I will date myself too.

My first thought was a programmer (upset with Zuckerberg ditching DEI & censors & announcing community notes) added (restored?) the black flag on the word "Patriot". My second thought was the voice-to-text algorithm misunderstood a word & decided it was not nice. Why no response? That seems to be standard FB procedures. I never got any responses when I inquired about my temporary bans (usually for links to articles that disproved the accepted narrative).
@Patriotsglow5 күн бұрын
I am hoping that these things change with some other changes coming, but I won't hold my breath. Thank you for your support and thoughts on this issue.

That wood burning technique is called "Shou Sugi Ban", Also you can use a step drill bit on the end and make the hole a kinda/sorta funnel, that would make the sound a bit louder, also using some poly to coat the hole, making is smoth, would also make the sound a bit louder.. An interesting project, I've seen dozens of DIY phone amplifiers, but that one is an extremely simplified version of one, and something almost anyone could make, Thank you for sharing..

@@TheWolfster001 thank you for the comment and great ideas. Lol yeah I know what the burned wood is. I just don't want to butcher the name by saying it out loud. And welcome to the channel.

I got a good tip for ya, I'm a retired master carpenter, I have made tons of small wood projects mostly for Christmas gifts for kids, blocks, small cars, trucks and such, When staining I just had a small container (with a lid) I would dip and hang to dry, when you are making a whole bunch at a time, this will save you lots of time.. @TheWolfster0017 күн бұрын
@@Patriotsglow If you are only doing a few at a time, it's not really worth it, but if your doing a lot, yes, I still would use a brush, but to brush off the excess, your doing the bottle openers, so have them all together tape the lower end of the opener that's touching the wood, Have some kind of a clothesline or rack to hang them on. then dip, brush off excess and hang to dry, continue with all your doing in that color, then to the next, it would work better with 2 people, one dip and brush off and the other takes it and hangs it.. A wise man once said, work smarter, not harder, LOL.. My dad told me that a lot, and when I was grown and ran my own company, I figured what he meant.. You have a lot of good ideas, When I retired, Air tools were just showing up on job sites.. and back in them days, A master in any trade held firm on their tricks & secrets, I was one of the few who didn't believe that, the better a tradesmen is, the better the job or product, also if you learn those tricks when you are younger, you have something that will help you, you have skills, If there was something like KZbin back 50 + years ago, Just imagine the greater works of art that would have been made.. Sorry, for babbling, I was stuck on a soap box..
