4 weeks ago there was a video posted on her youtube channel still claiming open for comissions, she still haven't recovered her accounts. I just find it odd that she haven't tried to reach out to the public with another account to warn people like did something happened to her? health? or did she completely gave up on social media that she is not even aware of anything cuz usually when hacking happens artists will try to reach their public since this is a really bad situation not only for her but also for Riot that us associated with her.

it would be rly cool if he made his own drawing channel but I feel like it would be dope if he committed to shouting out one other art channel with less than 100k or even less than 10k subs at the top of each video as a way of spreading the attention/wealth a bit. kinda as a thank u for getting genuine support from the art community, and a consolation for naturally taking a lot of the art-tube watch time to himself since hes so popular. could be a cool win win situation for him, small creators, and audiences looking to find new stuff

About the age topic. I don't know if learn is easier being older, the common sense is that it should be easy being young since your brain can adapt more faster. BUT what it is defenitively easier is being consistent, younger ppl strugle more with distraction.

If he continues at this pace, he's not done until there's a manga and anime with his name on it somewhere. Hopefully he paces to avoid burn-out and makes something like that happen. Also not all "art backgrounds" are formal. You can be self-taught in things to some extent, but not be at a level of wanting to share it. If you doodle and dabble, you will have the necessary understanding. (There still may be a bit of that going on. I'd say the Photoshop thing counts there.)

His Photoshop skills definitely helped with composition, perspective and color knowledge. Yes he didn't start from zero like a kid picking a pen from their teen days, but it's still impressive.

Pretty much. You want to make sure there's good resolution and pressure sensitivity. Used Wacom (in good condition) or (new?) Huion will keep you on a budget if looking for something that isn't a stand-alone tablet device. Also Krita is rather good in terms of free software with a decent brush engine, and it's available on Android in addition to all the OS's found on computers now. However if you're willing to spend on software, there's plenty of other options too. Main thing to get used to is smoothness of tablet vs. drawing on paper, and not looking at the drawing surface and scaling ratio if using a tablet that is separate from the screen. If using a stand-alone tablet, some will have a jot/notes/gesture UI thing that may need to be disabled first in order to actually draw on the thing. I found that a bit annoying on a Lenovo P11, and I'm sure it's not that uncommon on Android. So a head's-up there and YMMV in that regard.

Huzzah, why am I just now seeing this XDDD! She left riot in 2015. No one professionally has spoken to her in AGES, someone contacted me fairly recently about being friends with her but trying to see if they can get confirmation she's behind her FB account. The third commissioner wanted to remain mostly anon but they commissioned a traditional piece that "Michelle" has yet to finish it. I personally think it's someone, possibly Patricia( someone she lives with, who retweets all her posts) that is at her home. The second commissioner I don't think got a refund and the first one didn't get a refund either. The third paid around 500+ for their pieces.

Ngl I've saw a lot of new people getting motivated and inspired after Pewdiepie 100 days video. As of Male or Female, I persally find that drawing a female character is harder with the amount the detail required (eyes, hair, facial expression, ...).

I think he has a point with the age thing. Ofc there are exceptions, but generally, talented kids' drawings and young teens' drawings tend to have the same vibe. You can see the potential, but even if they have drawn for years, the drawings tend to be "undeveloped". I don't know how to find the right words, but it's around the late teens that artists start to really blossom with their art development. At least from what I have personally seen.

Basically when you are young, you can’t see or care at what you are good at you just do what you love(loving something because you good at it is a different story though). So because of that and because of lack of experience in general things about life, you would invest so much time in what you love and trying your hardest to get good at it and because of that you develop stress and can’t grow more. In pewdiepie case, he knows in what he should invest his time at and he knows how he can get the most out of it because obviously he’s an adult and because he’s just trying something new and he set a deadline to himself and if he failed to develop he’ll just stop and won’t lose anything which makes it for him stress-free practice. (I know this is the definition of hobbies but some people tend to take their hobbies to seriously) Also another thing to note is when you see people at your age (teen age) be 10 times better than you, this will make you try to adapt to their level and for some people it’s just impossible and a teen (due to their lack of wisdom) can’t see or understand this. For pewds he didn’t care, completely the opposite of a kid/teen. I didn’t want to mention anything about talents because it’s an extremely controversial topic and has pretty much no point in arguing about it. If you don’t have any hobbies in your life try to pick one and see how good you will get it if you have free time of course. You will see yourself becoming better than average level and you might get to love it because you are getting better at it.

"please do not harassing me about ai" doesn't sound like a person from MISSOURI, especially when you can see how she used to talk on old deviantart posts as back as 2008 or 2011. I know a lot of people say it's her, but unless she had a brain injury which made her forget how to draw or speak, everything about this reeks of a scammer who hacked her accounts and doesn't know the principles of painting, while she dropped off the face of the earth for some reason. It's extremely bizzare, I can't accept she'd fake the process in this way when she could've faked the process in a literally normal way, the person faking this process cannot possibly have the art knowledge someone who worked at Riot of all places should posess. I do think she may have suffered a stroke, or something like that could explain it which is sad, but if not, there is no possible reason for her to not fake it better! I'm not defending her, I just can't accept that anyone who KNOWS how to paint would fake the process like this. If she's burnt out, out of shape, you can still just use ai to fake it better! There's been people who were faking speedpaints before ai was even a thing, just look up smudged by ricky martinez on youtube, from back when there was a lot of conversation about art fakers, she could've just done that but with ai???

On the topic of tracing I think what makes it a problem is the intent If you trace and pretend to have made art then you're stealing credit for something you didn't put any genuine effort into making But if you're tracing to understand a silhouette and the shapes that make it up you can use that as practice for learning "shape language" or something IDK, I saw a video by DokiDoki Drawing about using tracing as a way to improve your drawing skill

I feel like if this WAS her, an artist as talented as this would definitely know how to mask ai, and get away with it. There's no way someone with this much experience would get caught. Not only that but riot pays their artists CRAZY well, I'm pretty sure this has to be someone pretending to be her.
